DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides engineering in form of models, drawings, feasibility studies, technical reports, design calculations etc. for assignments which have clear and specific objectives and require a limited number of variables
  • Creates 3D models and 2D drawings using Creo Parametric
  • Utilizes Ansys Workbench or Creo Simulate to perform Finite Element Analysis
  • Leads and directs small engineering teams within the engineering department, ensuring efficient and cost-effective engineering project execution
  • Adheres to engineering budgets and deadlines
  • Interfaces with individuals within or outside the engineering team (project managers, supply chain, etc.) as well as with customers and suppliers, with responsibility for acting independently on technical, project related matters
  • Adheres to engineering and development policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent operations within the engineering teams
  • Support maintenance of project engineering schedules and milestones
  • Ensures that engineering tasks are executed within budget, in quality and in an economical manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSME or BSMET from an accredited engineering university
  • Technical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • 5 plus years’ engineering experience with emphasis on mechanical design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of engineering principles, procedures and engineering standards (ASTM, ASME, AWS and DIN)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  •  Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient 3D and 2D engineering software (Creo Parametric preferred)
  • Good knowledge of Finite Element Analysis
  • Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
