Supports the timely delivery of mechanical engineering work packages within cost and quality requirements for assigned project(s). Conducts prototype testing to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical systems and collects and analyzes data for improvements. Typically reports to a manager. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description

Identifies appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of products. Utilizes software and other design and modeling tools to plan, develop, and improve mechanical parts or components and communicate conceptual designs and specifications to stakeholders. Develops solutions and solves intermediate to semi-complex problems to deliver engineering projects on-time, on-quality, and on-budget. Writes reports and presents work carried out at peer and design reviews. May provide training and support to new team members. May include safety, environmental protection and compliance.

Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and 3+ years of related experience or a recognized apprenticeship. May be required to maintain security clearance.

Skills Required
