SMS group is seeking an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer I to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for December 2025 or May 2026 engineering graduates who are ready to begin their careers designing, developing, and supporting advanced mechanical equipment used in modern steel and metals-processing facilities.

🚀 What You’ll Do

  • Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will:
  • Create, maintain, and revise 3D models, engineering drawings, and bills of materials
  • Support equipment layouts, feasibility studies, technical reports, and design calculations
  • Apply mechanical engineering principles related to statics, strength of materials, power transmission, and machine design
  • Participate in design reviews, equipment inspections, risk assessments, and acceptance testing
  • Assist with equipment selection, supplier reviews, procurement support, and technical clarifications
  • Prepare operating and maintenance manuals
  • Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and field verification activities
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, suppliers, workshops, and project teams
  • Contribute to product improvements, lessons learned, and safe design practices

🎓 What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • December 2025 or May 2026 graduation date
  • Fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
  • Experience with CAD software; Creo experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to learn, accept direction, and take on new challenges
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Professional attitude and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
