Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily engineering support and engineering dispositions in the repair and overhaul of Auxiliary Power Units (APU).
  • Provide the shop findings and investigation reports for the APU / Accessories 
  • Work on improving the first pass yields and reduce low time removals of the APUs 
  • Work with the shop floor technicians to address technical problems.
  • Conduct Technical Co-ordination Meetings with customers.
  • Support Sales and Business team in contract preparation / negotiation.
  • Develop & update customized or inhouse work scope.
  • Lead R&O cost takeout and productivity improvement projects.
  • Work with Repair Development Engineers in developing new repair schemes.
  • Perform time studies for product and processes to drive improvement.
  • Work with global team to support work scope standardization and best practice sharing effort.

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering
  • Ideally, > 5 years of work experience in an overhaul (aviation) environment, with minimum 3 years of experience in relevant product.
  • Experience with gas turbines and/or other aircraft engine components.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with other team members ensuring timely completion of assignments.
  • Ability to lead investigation work and work with little supervision, consistently taking the initiative to get things done.
