Job Description
Position: Mechanical Design Engineer II
Experience: 3 to 5 Years
The individual will be responsible for performing structural analysis, validation, and certification activities for aerospace mechanical systems and components. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with aerospace standards, customer specifications, and certification requirements. Driving automation and digital engineering initiatives to streamline analysis, standardize engineering workflows, and reduce engineering cycle time.
Qualification and Experience:
- Masters or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Aerospace from a reputed university.
- Industrial relevant experience in Aerospace components Design and Structural analysis (Preferably on ECS, ATS, Valves, Engines and related components)
- Strong fundamentals in Mechanics of Solids, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Fatigue (LCF & HCF) and Fracture Mechanics.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards, certification requirements, and industry best practices.
- Experience in performing Static Strength Analysis, Fatigue & Durability Analysis, Modal & Vibration Analysis, Buckling Analysis, and Non-Linear Analysis.
- Hands-on experience in structural analysis using ANSYS Classic, ANSYS Workbench, APDL, DesignModeler, and SpaceClaim.
- Good exposure to SIEMENS NX and Teamcenter tools.
- Familiarity with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis and their impact on structural performance.
- Good communication skills
- Experience in working with geographically distributed stakeholders.
- Innovate new technology insertions into the products, continuously look at embracing the changing market trends.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in developing engineering automation solutions using Ansys ACT, Python, MATLAB, VBA, TCL, or similar programming tools.
- Ability to identify, develop, and implement automation opportunities that improve productivity, analysis accuracy, and process standardization.
- Familiarity with thermal analysis – steady state and transient simulations.
- Shall be a self-learner, team player and go-getter
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Industrial experience in aerospace component design and structural analysis
