Think MECCA Perfumeria with Scentsorium, MECCA Aesthetica with clinical treatments and skin consultations, MECCA Apothecary, Josh Wood Hair salon, plus more than 200 brands and over 50 services.

We're excited to introduce Trading Manager and Assistant Trading Manager opportunities at MECCA Chadstone. 

As part of the Trading leadership team, you'll play a key role in leading a dynamic team and supporting the end-to-end management of key categories including Colour, Skin and Fragrance. Working closely with your leadership peers, you'll help drive exceptional customer experiences, commercial performance and team capability, while contributing to the success of one of MECCA's most exciting retail environments. 

The Trading Manager leads the category end-to-end, with Assistant Trading Managers partnering closely with and reporting to the Trading Manager to help drive commercial results, team performance and exceptional customer experiences. 

We're recruiting for multiple leadership opportunities across both levels and encourage applications from team members interested in either pathway. Through the recruitment process, we'll work with candidates to determine the role that best aligns to their experience, capability and readiness. 

Day-to-day responsibilities: 

As a Trading Manager or Assistant Trading Manager, you'll work on a full-time basis. This may include shifts across late night and weekend peak trade. 

  • Lead by example, delivering exceptional customer experiences while ensuring MECCA's customer service standards are upheld. 

  • Work hand in hand with your leadership peers to drive category, brand and service performance. 

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of key performance indicators to drive commercial results and support the team to work towards these goals daily. 

  • Support the implementation of trials and innovations through feedback, data analysis and continuous process improvement. 

  • Collaborate with concession partners to deliver a seamless customer experience, enhance operational efficiency and drive trade. 

  • Operate with agility, achieving best-in-class outcomes in a dynamic environment. 

  • Apply critical thinking to solve complex problems and support effective decision making. 

  • Actively manage priorities and deadlines to maximise floor time, benefiting the customer, team and business. 

  • Build, coach and support high-performing teams while contributing to the smooth running of store operations. 

What you'll bring to this role: 

  • Extensive experience (minimum 2-3 years) managing or supporting leadership within a large format retail environment where you inspire, coach and develop teams. 

  • A true passion for exceptional customer service, going above and beyond for our customers to create MECCA-magic moments. 

  • Strong stakeholder management experience, both internally and externally. 

  • Previous coaching and mentoring experience focused on team member development. 

  • A make-it-happen mindset with a proven ability to develop strong relationships. 

  • Genuine care for people, always striving to create the best possible team member experience. 

  • An ability to think big and long-term, and drive change through influencing others.

Skills Required

  • Minimum 2-3 years managing or supporting leadership within a large format retail environment
  • Passion for exceptional customer service and delivering high-quality customer experiences
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, internal and external (concession partners)
  • Coaching and mentoring experience focused on team member development
  • Ability to understand and act on key performance indicators to drive commercial results
