As a Renewables Measurement & Data Engineer, you will join a dynamic team of 20+ experts in Madrid, working at the forefront of wind, solar, and energy storage projects.

What you'll do

 

The main activities of the Renewables Measurement & Data Engineer role include:

  • Perform regular data quality validation of renewable measurements using digital tools
  • Support and participate in on‑site measurement activities, including commissioning of measurement equipment 
  • Collaborate with clients and contractors to troubleshoot and optimize systems
  • Deliver technical insights to assess resource potential and asset performance
  • Contribute to both field operations and data-driven engineering analysis

Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in engineering, data analytics, mathematics, or another relevant discipline
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply

 

What we are looking for

  • Strong interest in data analysis and quality control, ideally within engineering or renewables
  • Comfortable combining office-based work (≈70%) with site activities (≈30%)
  • Basic knowledge of wind/solar measurements or asset performance (academic or internship level)
  • Detail-oriented, with a structured approach to data validation and reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Team player with strong communication skills in an international environment 



Nice to have

Field & Measurement Experience

  • Exposure to on-site commissioning, installation, or testing of measurement systems
  • Familiarity with sensors, data loggers, and measurement equipment

Data & Digital Skills

  • Programming skills (Python, MATLAB, R or similar)
  • Experience handling large datasets: cleaning, validation, analysis, visualization
  • Knowledge of digital or cloud-based data platforms

Systems & Industry Exposure

  • Understanding of IoT, data acquisition systems, or remote monitoring
  • Basic knowledge of telemetry or system integration
  • Exposure to renewable energy projects (wind/solar)

 

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver license required and acceptable driving record meeting company requirements;
  • Occasional work outdoors in harsh conditions including but not limited to climbing stairs and ladders to ascend wind turbines or met masts
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 kgs., regular walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing and reaching
