Job Summary
- Seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and sustainment of complex systems in a mission-focused environment
- The Systems Engineer will work closely with software developers, network engineers, cybersecurity teams, and stakeholders to ensure systems meet performance, security, and operational requirements
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into system requirements and technical specifications
- Develop system architectures, interface control documents (ICDs), and design artifacts
- Support requirements derivation, traceability, and validation
- Conduct system integration, testing, and verification activities
- Support configuration management and change control processes
- Perform performance analysis, risk assessments, and trade studies
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
- Develop and maintain system documentation
- Support system accreditation and compliance activities (e.g., RMF, security controls)
- Assist with lifecycle sustainment, modernization, and system upgrades
Required Qualifications
- Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
- 14 years' Systems Engineering experience
- Strong grasp of Kubernetes networking, configuration, and deployment across secure environments
- Proven ability to support compliance-driven sustainment activities with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent collaboration skills with both technical team members and mission stakeholders
- Solid documentation and tracking skills using enterprise tools
- Ability to adapt quickly to evolving security and mission needs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Salt, and Ansible
- Familiarity with Rancher, Helm, and advanced Kubernetes features
- Working knowledge of observability tools like Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Grafana
- Security+ (CWIP) or equivalent certification preferred
Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
