Job Summary

  • Seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer - ISSO to play a key role in securing complex systems, ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks, and protecting sensitive information

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serving as the Information Systems Security Approval Authority for systems under your control
  • Providing technical and compliance support for the organization’s Information Assurance (IA) program
  • Planning, coordinating, and enforcing IT security programs across various systems and projects
  • Maintaining the operational security posture for mission-critical information systems
  • Developing and enforcing information system security policies, standards, and methodologies
  • Supporting day-to-day security operations, including system monitoring and incident response
  • Conducting vulnerability and risk assessments to support system certification and accreditation (C&A)
  • Evaluating security solutions to ensure they meet requirements for handling classified data
  • Managing system configuration, changes, and security impact assessments
  • Preparing and reviewing key documentation including:
    • System Security Plans (SSPs)
    • Risk Assessment Reports
    • Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages
    • System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs)

Required Qualifications

  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
  • 17+ years as a Systems Engineer on projects of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • An additional 5 years of SE experience may be substituted for the degree
  • DoD 8570 IAM Level I or higher required

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
