Astellas’ Global Capability Centres – Overview
Astellas’ Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are strategically located sites that give Astellas the ability to access talent across various functions in the value chain and to co-locate core capabilities that are currently dispersed. Our three GCCs are located in India, Poland and Mexico.

Purpose and Scope
The People Analytics & Reporting Lead is a strategic role responsible for leading the people analytics and reporting agenda across the entire HR organization. This role leverages workforce data, analytics, and storytelling to enable better business and people decisions related to talent acquisition, retention, engagement, performance, diversity, and workforce productivity.
The role defines the people analytics strategy, ensures HR data is trusted and analytics-ready, and translates complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence decisions at HR and business leadership levels. Working in close partnership with HR leaders, HR Systems, Finance, Digital X, GBS, and business stakeholders, the role ensures analytics are embedded in decision-making and drive measurable impact on employee experience and business outcomes.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Strategy & Leadership
- Define and lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for people analytics and reporting across the HR organization.
- Align people analytics priorities with enterprise strategy, HR priorities, and business outcomes.
- Act as a thought partner to HR and business leaders on how data and analytics can improve workforce and talent decisions.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across HR, HR Systems, Finance, Digital X, GBS, and Data teams.
2. Analytical Data Governance & Data Readiness
- Define and own analytical data governance, setting clear expectations for data quality, usage, and data readiness for reporting, analytics, and decision-making across HR.
- Partner closely with HR Systems, who retain ownership of technical data governance and data audit.
- Be accountable for determining whether HR data is fit for use for reporting and analytical purposes, including transparency on data confidence and limitations.
- Provide oversight of key master data (e.g., FTE, hierarchy, position, cost center), prioritizing data issues based on business and HR impact.
3. Analysis & Modeling
- Design and deliver advanced workforce analytics, including descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analyses.
- Analyze trends and drivers related to talent acquisition, engagement, retention, performance, productivity, and diversity.
- Develop analytical models to support workforce planning, scenario analysis, and risk identification.
- Translate analytical findings into clear insights, implications, and recommendations for leaders.
4. Reporting, Visualization & Storytelling
- Develop and maintain high-impact dashboards, reports, and visualizations for HR leadership, senior business leaders, and executives.
- Ensure reporting goes beyond metrics to deliver insights, narratives, and recommendations that influence decisions.
- Tailor storytelling and visualization for different audiences (CxOs, HRLT, HRBPs, People Services leaders).
- Drive standardization of core HR metrics while enabling flexibility for regional and business-specific insights.
5. Stakeholder Partnership & Enablement
- Partner closely with HR Business Partners, HR COEs, Finance, and business leaders to identify critical people questions and priorities.
- Translate business challenges into analytical questions and data-driven solutions.
- Enable HR teams to effectively use analytics through guidance, tools, and capability building.
- Act as a trusted advisor on workforce insights and people-related decision-making.
6. Technology & Platform Evolution
- Own the evolution of the people analytics and reporting ecosystem.
- Partner with HR Systems and Digital X to optimize analytics and reporting tools (e.g., SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Power BI / Tableau).
- Enable automation, self-service analytics, and AI-driven insights in line with enterprise digital strategy.
- Continuously assess emerging technologies and approaches to improve scalability, efficiency, and insight quality.
7. People Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of people analytics professionals, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and learning-oriented environment.
- Set clear goals, priorities, and expectations for the team, ensuring alignment with the people analytics strategy and HR priorities.
- Provide regular feedback, performance management, and development support to build analytical, business, and storytelling capability.
- Support resource planning, skill development, and succession within the people analytics team.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in people analytics, HR reporting, workforce analytics, or HR systems in a global organization.
- Strong understanding of core HR areas (talent, engagement, retention, performance, workforce planning).
- Proven ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights for senior HR and business leaders.
- Hands-on experience with HR systems and analytics tools (e.g., SuccessFactors, Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and data storytelling skills.

- Advanced degree in a related field
- Experience with predictive analytics, automation, or AI-enabled analytics
- Experience working in a global, matrixed environment or shared services model
- Experience partnering with digital, data, or IT teams.
- Prior people management or capability-building experience
