What will this role achieve?
As leaders in our industry, we provide transport solutions for UK&I Region of pladis and work as a 3rd party distributor for key customers. It is therefore essential that we maintain our high standards. Drivers must operate legally, safely and ensure they portray a smart image, as they are the most direct contact with our customers.
What will be your key deliverables?
It is for this reason that we provide drivers with smart uniforms, relevant PPE and expect them to keep their vehicles in a condition in keeping with our commitment to safety and quality. On the road we expect our drivers to conduct themselves in a professional manner showing courtesy and good manners to all road users.

Provide a professional, consistent and timely driving service for pladis.

Undertake vehicle checks prior to leaving the depot and where needed at 3rd party locations. Refuel, wash and report any defects on return to site.

Complete all relevant documentation as required, e.g. delivery notes, pallet notes, offload notes, defect reports.

Communicate any delays, rejected orders, discrepancies to confirmations department.

Comply with legislation concerning drivers hours and vehicle maintenance to ensure operations conform to O licence requirements.

Driver in a professional manner, complying with the highway code and with due regard to the safety of self and others in order to minimise accidents and vehicle damage and to promote a professional company image.

Report all accidents and near misses

Maintain the security of the vehicle and load at all times.

Undertake shunting duties at factories and on site as required
Bring your experience
Essential
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well in a team, have great fault finding and problem solving skills along with a real flair for working with equipment. You will have a track record of improving Quality and Efficiency, be good at working with your hands and have a great eye for detail.
Desirable
No previous experience required, all training will be provided.
Shift Pattern
This is a flexi-shift role comprised of days and nights.
A typical Rota looks like:-
Sunday -> Monday NIGHTS
Tuesday -> Thursday REST
Friday -> Saturday DAYS
Sunday -> Monday REST
Tuesday -> Friday NIGHTS
Saturday -> Sunday REST
Monday -> Thursday DAY
