Role Summary:

The Operations Executive will be responsible for coordinating and executing efficient port calls, ensuring a high standard of service to vessels, principals and stakeholders. The role manages port agency activities, including vessel requirements, vendor coordination, crew changes, documentation, reporting and billing, while ensuring compliance with local regulations and ISS procedures.

Location: Port Louis, Mauritius (On-Site)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute port calls efficiently and cost-effectively, meeting Principal and Ship Master requirements.
  • Monitor port call progress, provide timely updates to stakeholders, and protect Principals’ interests throughout.
  • Ensure accurate and timely pre-arrival, operational, post-call and statutory reporting to relevant stakeholders and government authorities.
  • Coordinate vessel and port services on-site when required, including boarding vessels and overseeing service delivery.
  • Manage crew change requirements, including immigration/visas, hotel bookings, transfers, medicals, shore passes and relevant permits.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Principals, Port Authorities, Immigration, Customs, vendors and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with local regulations, port procedures, HSSE requirements, ISS policies and QMS standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local port regulations and industry requirements, communicating relevant changes to the Marine Department.
  • Accurately maintain port, cargo and vessel documentation and fully utilise ISS and external operational systems in line with agreed procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations team, complete required training, and keep the Operations Manager updated on all operational activities.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least 1 year of working experience either in ship agency service industry or in similar position.
  • Prior knowledge of Maritime operations.
  • Knowledge of local laws and regulations, with experience in port and immigration documentation desirable.
  • Proficiency at basic computer skills including MS office and MS outlook.
  • Must be professional in conduct and practice, and reliable as each report are time critical.
  • Diploma in Marine Studies (Preferred). 
  • Must have a valid drivers license.

Skills Required
