About the Role:
Come ride with Cannondale as our new Master Planner: You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that span several weeks to months, ensuring delivery requirements and optimization of Cannondale's production capacity. This role involves coordinating with various departments such as purchasing, manufacturing engineering, production, quality control, and logistics to ensure a feasible production plan that is aligned to customer demand, demand plans, factory capacity and inventory levels. Cannondale's Master Planner plays a critical role in bringing our legendary bikes to life.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Production Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain master production schedules.
- Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand, production delays, or material availability.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure that schedules are feasible and align with capacity and resource availability.
Material Planning:
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with material planning to avoid shortages or excesses.
NPI Planning:
- Coordinate the planning and execution of new product launches.
- Work closely with product development, manufacturing engineering, and procurement team to ensure seamless integration of new products into the production schedule.
- Monitor the ramp-up process and adjust plans as needed to meet launch timelines and quality standards.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including metrics such as output, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Conducting a thorough component shortage analysis to proactively identify and address potential supply chain disruptions. By implementing effective mitigation strategies and continuously improving processes, to ensure a steady flow of components, maintain production schedules, and meet customer demands.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance production and product quality.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with internal stakeholders, including production, purchasing, quality, sales, and logistics teams.
- Provide regular updates on production status and product availability and address any concerns or issues.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or a related role.
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software (SAP preferred).
- Ability to work across cultures and functions with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Methodical and well-organized approach to work, ability to prioritize, work accurately, keen eye for details.
- Must be fluent in Dutch and English in word and writing.
- Experience in biking industry or passion for cycling/outdoor sports is a plus.
