The Master Planner creates the production plans for multiple lines, sub-assemblies, and development projects to meet customer demands. Ensures that the lines keep moving, working closely with production to determine the correct cadence of jobs, amount of people needed, and if overtime is required. A key function of this role is to ensure that the jobs created are using the correct quality reviews; that there is availability of the components, and production trainings have been executed. Among main responsibilities are:

  • Control and monitor the execution of the production plan in order to ensure compliance with the customer's requirements or the Safety Stock.
  • Schedule production strategically in order to meet customer requirements and maximize the utilization of manufacturing resources.
  • Maintain the system used (ERP) to ensure that the information used is consistent and reliable.
  • Guide the production process through priorities so that they focus their resources on what is most important for the business/customer.

  • Provide sufficient and consistent visibility to the purchasing group so that they can carry out material planning.
  • Guarantee inputs into the ERP system (Epicor) are correct to fully optimize the system.
  • Create reporting related to job variance, job closures, sales order, change order requests, production forecasting, subcontract jobs.
  • Performs warehouse picking/buyer material purchasing.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and best manufacturing practices, by complying with internal policy and procedures.
  • Likewise, guarantee compliance through the adoption of strategies, internal controls, communication and necessary training.
  • Support Customer Services with the creation, release, and tracking of expedited and urgent orders, with the goal of meeting customer needs. All other functions inherent to the position and those assigned by their respective boss with a clear objective.
  • Get involved in the production process ensuring complete understanding of the priorities and assertively translates inputs into planning.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, industrial engineering or related.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, inventory planning, distribution, or purchasing
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience using an advanced planning system, advanced excel techniques such as vlookup, sumifs, and macros.
  • Exceptional leadership competencies, adaptability and ownership.
  • High level of communication at all levels, focusing on customers´ needs.
  • Must be able to plan, coordinate, prioritize, and manage multiple projects.
