Job Description
The Equities product control function is responsible for P&L, Risk, External Reporting and Capital and covers the largest business in Markets across eight locations worldwide.
As a Program Manager within this function, you will help to drive forward a number of key projects and initiatives with a specific responsibility for Market Risk infrastructure.
As a Markets Product Control Program Manager - Vice President you will partner with key business and technology partners to analyze business/operational processes, identify business and operational requirements, oversee technology build, manage user testing, and coordinate solution implementation. The Project Manager will also have accountability for maintaining project updates in tools such as JIRA and Confluence and be able to provide senior management updates.
Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define initiatives/projects and create detailed requirements and validating output, including co-ordination of end to end testing requirement where appropriate.
- Day-to-day maintenance of project plans, metrics, risk/issues as well as development and occasional presentation of project status reports / updates to the organization and senior management
- Provide project or business analysis support as necessary to the overall Projects team.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Extensive work experience within an Investment Banking Product Control, Financial Control or related area.
- Ability to demonstrate solid understanding of financial products and Markets trading businesses, specifically P&L, Market Risk and Accounting.
- Experience in developing project plans, business analysis, and their execution
- Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail; capable of synthesizing and summarizing complex data or findings to drive decision making
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to demonstrate personal initiative, ownership and accountability
- Effective interpersonal, relationship building and influencing skills
- Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) and partner with key stakeholders to help advance project agenda
