Job Summary:
As a Sales Business Control Manager Associate in the Markets Sales BCM team, you will be accountable for the risk and control environment within the Global Markets Sales business. You will report directly to the Head of Continental Europe Sales BCM, leading the development and implementation of supervisory controls, managing risk events, and spearheading process improvements. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders across various functions to ensure effective control governance and reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify, escalate, and record control issues, incidents, and operational errors, performing risk analysis with key stakeholders to agree on root causes, and delivering appropriate control deep dives and remedial actions.
- Partner and build strong relationships with colleagues across Business, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Technology to facilitate dialogue and drive consistent, rigorous operational risk practices and control programs.
- Implement business controls priorities and strategy across Continental Europe, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Influence business practices, key decisions, policies, and strategies to drive change through continual evaluation of the operational risk and control framework.
- Progress and own multiple projects with varying delivery timeframes. Assess risks, develop requirements, and communicate effectively while identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
- Lead the development and implementation of procedures on Front Office Supervision and build Supervisory controls, facilitating their execution and exception management.
- Establish control governance and reporting to identify meaningful metrics and manage control committees, supporting regulatory, audit, and compliance testing activities.
- Support regulatory, audit, and compliance testing activities impacting Continental Europe Markets Sales.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent experience.
- Relevant work experience in Business Controls, Business Management, Compliance Operations, Operational Risk Management, Audit, Technology, or Compliance.
- Highly motivated, energetic self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process re-engineering skills.
- Ability to work with key stakeholders, guiding and challenging as appropriate.
- Strong team player with excellent partnering and influencing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Business-level French.
- Understanding of Markets products across asset classes, including end-to-end product lifecycle and EU regulations.
