The world loves Postgres. If you work with developers or data scientists or anyone wrangling data, you’ll probably see a sticker with the tusks and trunk of the Postgres elephant on the lid of a nearby laptop. EDB has a lot to do with that.
We’ve been major contributors to Postgres since the beginning, and we are proud to call thousands of boundary pushing customers our partners. Proud though we are, we are not resting on our laurels. There’s plenty of work to do. The good news is that everything we do will impact Postgres, which is to say that it will impact the world. No pressure.
Job Summary
You will lead EDB’s Marketing Operations - including our Analytics, Digital and Marketing Technology roadmaps. You will bring strong strategic thinking, deep marketing experience, an analytical orientation and technical savvy to enable EDB’s Marketing team to continually improve customer engagement and conversion. You will work closely with EDB’s Experience, Sales Operations and Marketing Teams to drive continual improvement in all aspects of Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Ensure EDB has an effective Marketing Technology stack to do Account, Intent and Lead Marketing well. Your team will proactively investigate new technology, manage its introduction and ensure it works well with the rest of the existing stack. You will manage the relationships with our technology providers to ensure we understand and are influencing their roadmaps.
- Drive the Marketing Analytics Roadmap including automated dashboards and ad-hoc analytics to improve conversion and pipeline. You will also manage our Analytics and Operations rhythm to ensure we are continually learning.
- Support the Marketing Team’s Account Based and Intent Based Marketing focus including implementation of workflows and account-based scoring to quality opportunities for our Sales Team.
- Demonstrated capabilities in understanding how to measure the ROI of multiple marketing programs and channels and how to create attribution models that enable optimal allocation of resources
- Ensure that EDB’s Marketing data is accurate, current and segmentable for Marketing and Sales use
- Build a world-class Operations Marketing Team that can all excel at the above
Requirements
- 15+ years of B2B Software/SaaS Marketing Operations experience with a heavy emphasis on analytics and conversion
- 5+ years of experience managing marketing teams of 5+ people with an ability to articulate how you organize, hire and coach them to success
- Hands-on experience using Salesforce, Marketing Automation Platforms (ideally Marketo), Intent Marketing Platforms (ideally 6Sense), Web Analytics (ideally Google Analytics, Heap and Hotjar), SEO Analytics and Reporting/Visualization software (ideally Tableau).
- Be passionate about finding answers to new questions, be continually on the lookout for new marketing technology and an orientation towards automation and scale
- Bachelor's degree in a Business or Technology field
Plusses
- Experience designing and implementing company digital experiences at a global level (ideally on Drupal)
- Experience operating at a global level including marketing in multiple countries and regions.
- Experience managing a remote team that is distributed across time zones
