We’re a high energy, high growth tech company searching for a Technical Content Marketing Manager who will be an instrumental member of our marketing team. As a content marketer, you’re passionate about creating world-class content that fuels the demand gen engine, cements thought leadership, and builds brand awareness. You’re curious, creative, proactive, and have a keen understanding of what your audience wants. Not only do you have a knack for simplifying complex technical topics, but you also know how to optimize a post for SEO like the back of your hand. Most of all, you're an awesome team member who's ready to join a team of high-performing growth geeks who consistently hit goals and have fun doing it.

About You

  • 3-5 years experience writing content for a technical audience, preferably in B2B SaaS 
  • Highly skilled at explaining complex technical topics in a simple, lively, and concise way
  • Understands how content is used in demand gen campaigns and which content will resonate with people at the top, middle, and bottom of the funnel
  • Able to “get in the weeds” and research topics thoroughly when creating content
  • Experience interviewing in-house SMEs, customers, and/or industry experts and turning that into compelling content
  • Implements SEO best practices when creating content
  • Understands modern IT professionals: their challenges, needs, interests, ambitions; what content will resonate with various personas
  • Exceptional writing skills and grammar
  • Can-do, positive attitude with a penchant for trying new things
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong ability to think independently, juggle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Team player and strong collaborator with a variety of people and teams
  • Bonus: Experience creating educational content that supports a new market category
  • Bonus: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, journalism, or similar field (or equivalent work experience) 

What You’ll Do

  • Research, write, produce, and publish industry-leading content that inspires and educates the IT audience. This includes blog posts, longform gated content (e.g., technical whitepapers, guides, checklists, ebooks, etc.), and other thought leadership pieces. You’ll write on diverse topics for all stages of the funnel (examples: SaaSOps best practices, BetterCloud product tips, ABM-style content tailored to specific accounts)
  • Help innovate with new types of content (e.g., interactive content, videos) that showcase BetterCloud’s thought leadership and can be used in demand gen campaigns
  • Collaborate with director of content marketing to create and execute content marketing strategy, generating new ideas for content and building our editorial calendar
  • Collaborate with our digital marketing agency to update existing content/create new content in order to optimize SEO and experiment with new content channels 
  • Help manage our content library in Uberflip, ensuring all assets are properly tagged and organized
  • Be an active member of our SaaSOps community to identify trends, insights, and content inspiration
  • Work with marketing ops and content marketing team to analyze data and learn what content drives engagement
  • Help build partner newsletters and others, as needed
