The Executive Communications Senior Manager roles provides strategic communications guidance and support for the EVP of Executive Commincations to create a deeper level of connectivity and engagement with teammates, clients, and stakeholders. This strategic and execution-oriented senior individual contributor will have hands-on ability to create purposeful, proactive, and coordinated communications as well as facilitate two-way communication and feedback sharing. The role reports to the head of executive communications and partners across several functions including the communications team and the CEO chief of staff office

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Provide communications support to CEO to effectively communicate the Truist purpose, mission, and values along with key business objectives priorities to advance the company's culture, build awareness and consideration for the company's brand, and promote Truist a differentiated financial services company.
2. Design, execute, and iterate, as needed, thought leadership and executive positioning strategy for CEO including message platform, internal teammate engagements, and external thought leadership opportunities through top-tier media, social media, business organizations, events, and other opportunities.
3. Write speeches, video scripts, presentations, releases, statements, certain client letters, or other documents as needed. Oversee deliverables to ensure accuracy, clarity and quality.
4. Track and measure results to ensure they are in line with intended outcomes and business objectives
5. Partner with Director of Media Relations and Issues Management to integrate CEO communications platform with legal, government, and regulatory relations teams; investor relations; and other executive stakeholders to create alignment and support for enhancing the overall corporate reputation

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and fifteen years of communications experience, or equivalent education and related training or experience
2. Experience supporting the communication needs of C-level executives through public relations, social media, brand positioning, leadership eminence, and risk and issues management, with strong media relationships across a broad range of media outlets and news sources.
3. Executive presence and the highest levels of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality along with exceptional credibility, judgment, and diplomacy skills
4. Ability to collaborate, negotiate with and influence peers and senior leaders with a strong track record in building relationships with senior leaders as a trusted advisor.
5. Thorough understanding of the CEO message platform and how it aligns and integrates with corporate strategic objectives
6. Aptitude to anticipate future issues and potential reactions to messaging based on current events and audience priorities
7. Proficiency in using communications technology, video production and mass communications techniques
8. Ability to prioritize and multi-task complex projects in shifting environments, take initiative, and produce high quality work under tight deadlines
9. Flexibility to change tactics as needed based on continual feedback/measurement/impact
10. Exceptional written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to translate complicated concepts into clear, compelling language for audiences ranging from key stakeholders to media to consumers
11. Core business acumen
12. Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and awareness of the market and regulatory factors that affect the industry

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master's degree and financial services experience
2. Extensive knowledge of the banking industry
3. Sound judgment and experience working in or with the media
