Honeywell is seeking a Senior Manager, Executive Communications, based in the company's global headquarters in Charlotte, N.C. This is an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced, poised and savvy communications professional, exceptional writer, and gifted storyteller who wants to join a Fortune 100 technology leader and help shape the future.

This individual will work report to the Vice President, Internal Communications and Community Relations, and work regularly with the VP, Communications to craft crisp, compelling messages on behalf of the Chairman and CEO and other C-suite leaders; proactively identify and source content and speaking opportunities for key executives; and contribute to key communications narratives and campaigns. In support of the Chairman and CEO, this Senior Manager will work independently and with speed to compose error-free speeches, presentations, published letters, op-eds, blogs and other high-profile deliverables.

The person in this role will be a critical contributor to efforts to shape and promote key narratives about the brand and Chairman and CEO's vision for the future of the company and technology. This work requires methodical research skills; meticulous attention to details and how issues interrelate; and a fluid, always exemplary ability to create messages in a way that informs, educates and persuades key stakeholder groups. The successful candidate will think like a reporter, always exploring and pursuing story opportunities that position Honeywell and its senior leaders, including the Chairman and CEO, favorably and advance the company's brand narrative.

Finally, the individual in this role must be willing to roll up sleeves and help plan and promote signature internal events, including CEO-level company initiatives, the annual Honeywell Senior Leadership Meeting, and a quarterly all-employee Global Town Meeting.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, independent communications professional with a minimum of 7 years of experience, preferably from a corporate or agency background and with proven track record of driving internal and external communications success. This individual should have outstanding executive presence and a keen interest in understanding a business, a strong orientation toward process and organization, and the ability to influence partners and clients in a highly matrixed corporate environment. Experience working in a large, global organization is a plus.

Candidates for this role must be prepared to demonstrate their business writing prowess by providing relevant samples of their work for C-suite corporate executives, ideally including for CEOs, and by potentially participating in a timed writing exercise during the selection process. Mastery of Associated Press Style is required. The hiring manager also welcomes examples of strategic placements of C-suite executives into thought leadership forums and publications, high-profile public speaking engagements, and possibly media opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead content design, development, and execution on behalf of the Chairman and CEO and other C-suite leaders to promote the company's evolving brand narrative and strengthen employee engagement.
• Support major initiatives, organization transitions, leadership changes, and other transformation steps through innovative and effective communication plans that address the needs of varied audiences and stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and source content and speaking opportunities for key executives.
• Work independently and with speed to compose error-free speeches, presentations, published letters, op-eds, blogs and other high-profile deliverables.
• Conduct thorough research to under relevant, interconnected issues and prepare senior executives to communicate effectively with key audiences.
• Help plan, promote and develop content (including presentations and talking points) for signature internal events, including CEO-level company initiatives, the annual Honeywell Senior Leadership Meeting and a quarterly all-employee Global Town Meeting.
• Support cross-company measurement of internal communications effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute leadership to ongoing storytelling about the company and its diverse, talented workforce across key internal news channels, including emerging digital platforms.

YOU MUST HAVE
• A bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 7+ years of demonstrated successful experience in corporate communications or an agency environment.
