Who You Are

You have a deep background in financial services, and have built your career curating, developing, and publishing editorial and long-form finance content. Your investigative mindset means you’re constantly looking for a new story to tell, and you take pride in your ability to build credibility and brand awareness for innovative companies in the bank and fintech space. You navigate financial discussions with ease, and are looking for a role where you can help bring a brand to life, position executives as credible industry experts, and drive greater awareness and adoption across a suite of solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Produce a wide variety of long-form content pieces, including press releases, financial memos, byline articles, blog posts, ebooks, whitepapers, speaker abstracts, and more
  • Conduct industry research to build relevant, timely thought leadership pieces for BHG executives
  • Engage directly with BHG’s leadership team, including ongoing interviews and discussions to identify new topics and publish content on a consistent basis
  • Utilize search engine optimization (SEO) strategies while writing to maximize BHG’s visibility in search results
  • Proofread and edit long-form content before it’s published on BHG’s platforms or in publications
  • Interpret creative direction and transform creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts
  • Collaborate creatively with project managers, subject matter experts, and marketing dept. to develop the narrative and content that strategically aligns corporate messaging with tangible analytics
  • Demonstrate strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills to craft and present corporate communications
  • Challenge the status quo – assign or complete tasks appropriately based on team workload, while leading by example, mentoring teammates, building trust, and building others into leaders. 
  • Deliver compelling copy across multiple platforms including but not limited to Newswires, Websites, Social, crafting content for corporate communications (CSR, PR, Events)
  • Ensure all copy produced meets the brand’s style and tone of voice, as well as compliance, legal, IP, and other requirements
  • Proof-read copy for other members of the business, for both grammar and style
  • Project Manage and assign incoming PR team projects crafting and following the project from concept brief to final deliverable
  • Regularly review and innovate on content strategy to stay up to date on industry and market trends.
  • Master the different market segments and personas we target

What You'll Need

  • 10+ years of experience as a copywriter and content creation
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communication, Journalism, or English
  • Extensive background in fintech and can speak about financial services offerings
  • Creativity, resourcefulness, flexibility, motivation
  • Proven copywriting/editorial skills with outstanding command of the English language
  • A passion for writing and ability to produce creative, compelling copy on tight deadlines
  • Project management skills to manage schedules and deadlines
  • A willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly
  • Published portfolio of writing samples is required with application
