Role Summary:
As a Product Marketing Manager on the Growth team, you will tell Prefect's brand story by creating our go-to-market messaging and value proposition. You will help establish and grow our product category, while developing positioning and messaging that targets our ideal user and buyer personas.
You will build collaborative partnerships with our Product, Engineering and Sales teams to develop and deliver this value proposition, establishing consistent messaging to be used across communication channels (website, social media, advertising, sales collateral).
You will track the industry and market, providing competitive intelligence and serving as a subject matter expert.
Your ultimate goal will be to increase adoption of Prefect Cloud and it's companion open-source software product, Prefect Core.
You will report to our Head of Marketing, Charleigh.
Expectations (you will):
- Establish and grow the Prefect product category of Dataflow Automation
- Tell the Prefect brand story - our mission, vision and what makes us unique
- Develop messaging that articulates our product's positioning and value positioning
- Build and execute go-to-market strategies that use this messaging, value proposition & positioning
- Be the our competitive intelligence expert
- Collaborate with our technical & product teams as a trusted partner on positioning, messaging and market feedback
- Work with our sales and sales enablement teams on messaging, value proposition and sales collateral
- Embody ownership: contribute and advocate for your ideas, while also preventing projects from failing
- Promote our culture and foster a collaborative working environment
Qualifications (you have):
- 3+ years product marketing or product management experience
- Experience synthesizing complex technical information into simple, value-focused terms
- Experience with a technical, developer-focused product
- Experience collaborating with technical and sales teams
- Desire to lead by example in an enthusiastic and team environment
- Experience in the PyData ecosystem
