About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As a Grow with Google Cloud Product Marketing Manager (PMM), you will understand skilling, Google Cloud and its learning portfolio, Grow with Google, and the employer ecosystem. You will map the customer journey from entry-level roles to Google Cloud learning paths, develop pilots with employer partners, and help bring the educate-to-employ story to life.

You will be solely responsible for executing marketing strategies to articulate the Google Cloud Platform training value proposition to our partners, including employers, public sector bodies (e.g. workforce boards, community colleges, career and technical education high schools, and four-year institutions), and industry organizations.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

Responsibilities

  • Build deep, long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and develop marketing programs that drive the business and elevate Google and our partners.
  • Leverage existing best practices, expand the current Grow with Google hiring consortium process to include Google Cloud, and recruit and manage new employers in order to grow the consortium.
  • Identify, prioritize, and act on strategic partnerships. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and influence senior leadership across priority channels to pursue high-impact opportunities.
  • Identify partner goals and challenges to effectively recommend marketing narratives and pilot programs with employers and with four-year universities that can deliver successful outcomes.
  • Develop one comprehensive narrative by designing and executing on pilot programs with employers and schools while using both quantitative and qualitative insights to develop a full-funnel, integrated marketing campaign (e.g., compelling visual assets, messaging, and narratives).
