About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will craft compelling narratives about Google Play. You turn browsers into buyers via relevant offers delivered within the Google Play store and via push marketing. You will build scalable programs that meet the needs of super-gamers, users turning on their first mobile phones, and everyone in between. In this role, you will use data and experimentation to drive growth with testing and iterating.

Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategy, execution, and measurement of promotional offers within Google Play's global Growth Marketing program.
  • Launch and scale global cross-channel offer campaigns that span the Google Play store, emails, and notifications. Work with Designers, Product Market Mangers, and third-party agencies.
  • Partner with Product Management, Merchandising, and Finance teams to deploy targeted impactful offers in line with program key performance indicators.
  • Execute testing strategies to increase buyer conversion rates, and partner with Growth Marketing Operations to identify ways to increase efficiency.
  • Evaluate and present results from your programs, making, and implementing recommendations for further campaign optimization and areas of focus.
