Key Accountabilities:

1. Create and lead the strategy and implementation of marketing efforts for mid-large business - including commercial/corporate banking as well as specialty verticals including Agribusiness (FNBO is the 5th largest agribusiness lender in the US), Healthcare, Transportation and Commercial Real Estate. Partner with other members of the team focused on business capabilities and customer personas. Additionally, this role will support any key projects that emerge in the segment and are determined a best fit

  • Work collaboratively with team dedicated to mid-large business to ensure proper alignment and effective marketing approach
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the Business Segment to understand bank and customer needs to develop marketing plans and improve current processes to drive increased business
  • Understand the competitive landscape and current positioning to develop, design and provide recommendations for marketing strategies
  • Oversee marketing initiatives from inception of strategy, to coordination with the Marketing and Creative Team, Legal, Compliance, Analytics and business partners
  • Manage costs to most effective/competitive levels. Ensure budget is on target
  • Create critical connections throughout the bank to bring work to life in all channels
  • Bring creative and effective marketing efforts to life; test and learn new approaches, track and share results


2. Be a subject matter expert on B2B marketing strategy with a focus on mid and large-sized business.

  • Understand journeys and trends
  • Gather and synthesize market intelligence by actively engaging internal and external resources including customers, bank representatives and business owners. Industry experts and vendors. Stay attuned to emerging technologies and happenings in the space


3. Ensure the Business Segment Marketing strategy and annual plan are working to accelerate the Business Segment and FNBO

  • Appropriately driving efforts for Business Segment key focus areas
  • Working collaboratively with and conveying efforts to key stakeholders across the enterprise; ensuring alignment
  • Develop strategies that are collaborative, supporting Business Segment primary team approach - partnering with other groups across the segment to bring additional bank capabilities to businesses


4. Assist in defining the go-to-market strategy, positioning, customer experience requirements and identifying target customers

  • Utilize data and analytics to improve marketing efforts by understanding customers, markets, channels and products
  • Influence key stakeholders through logic, persuasion, inspiration, analytics and financial justification


5. Continuous Improvement: Provide input to Manager to enhance work group/team effectiveness

  • Identify and recommend opportunities and provide input on the enhancement of policy and procedure


6.Cross Functional Working Relationships (CFWR): Work collaboratively with peers and management to maintain Service Level Agreements with all assigned CFWR

  • Consult with strategic partners and understand the bank's key business needs
  • Collaborate with other team members, marketing, business partners and sales teams to identify, define and validate marketing plan strategy, results, and integration touch-points


7. Compliance: Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties

  • Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, as required.
  • Report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations.
  • Report any suspicious customer and/or account activity
  • If applicable, ensure direct reports meet the above requirements and take action to address employee performance issues


8. Professionalism/Attendance: Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships. Maintain regular and predictable attendance in alignment with departmental/divisional policy

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Knowledge and experience of the financial services industry
  • 5+ years' experience in marketing, business ownership or marketing program management
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing and handling multiple projects
  • Knowledge of enterprise marketing and sales processes
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills, with an ability to work effectively with Sales and Business Development to lead and execute on a wide variety of product marketing initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and execution skills
  • Capable of strategic thinking and moving strategic plans into action
  • Successful budget management experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA, advanced degree or experience with business ownership
  • Previous experience in bank industry or marketing of commercial/corporate banking, Ag, Transportation, Healthcare, or CRE
  • Previous experience with B2B marketing, customers and market dynamics
  • Experience with Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, customer journeys
  • Experience with Adobe Workfront


This is a hyrbid remote role where a few days each week are spent working from home and a few days are spent in the office at First National Tower.
