Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computational Statistics, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in analytics.
  • Experience with SQL, data processing software, and with one or more general purpose programming languages such as, C , Python, or Jave
  • Experience leading and managing analytical teams.



Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (e.g., technical architectures, infrastructure components, extract, transform, load (ETL), and reporting/analytics tools and environments.
  • Ability to prioritize requests and work well in an environment with competing demands from multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business stakeholders with excellent listening, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.

As a Lead Marketing Analyst, you will manage a team of analysts to help drive a deeper, actionable understanding of our marketing initiatives. You will evaluate and improve the data sets and pipelines that power our projects. You will bring scientific accuracy and statistical methods to the challenges of data quality, insights, and system performance.

In this role, you will lead architecture design and implementation of reporting and dashboards to measure global Google marketing programs. You will prototype and build data pipelines iteratively to provide insights at scale. You will develop comprehensive knowledge of Google systems and data, advocating for changes where needed for product development. In the course of this work you will be gathering data and system requirements, processing large data sets, performing ongoing analysis, and making presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the Marketing Analytics team through scaled analytical practice on pipeline, dashboard, and insight generation to support business growth.
  • Communicate technical analytical projects in an executive friendly way leading with insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders in cross-functional organizations.
  • Manage and grow a team of passionate marketing analysts. Drive a high-performance team culture, and maintain team culture and morale. Create best practice sharing opportunities in the analyst community.
  • Develop and maintain production implementations and use them to analyze large, complex data sets.
  • Create and build dashboards to track metrics describing the quality of data produced by pipelines. Identify quality issues, ensure they are visible to the appropriate stakeholders, and drive the resolution process.
