About the job

As Global Head of Public Relations and Community Affairs for Global Server Operations (GSO), you'll be part of a global public affairs team enhancing the Google brand. You'll be enabling great community engagement in partnership with our Data Center Social Impact team. You will support the team on telling our story to selection makers, opinion formers, and data center communities. You will advise on how to shape our GSO initiatives in a way that is coherent. You will liaise with Brand and Reputation Marketing, Real Estate and Workplace Services, Recruiting, Government Affairs and Public Policy, Marketing, and Corporate Communications to make sure that GSO maximizes the opportunities to partner in our local communities where our employees live and work. You will be responsible for ensuring we are good corporate citizens - and help drive that narrative.

As a Program Manager, you will lead complex, multidisciplinary projects. You will define requirements with internal stakeholders and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador for GSO's public relations and community affairs work to effectively advocate to stakeholders.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner, organizing efforts across GSO/Global Data Centers (GDC) to shape public relations and community affairs strategy.
  • Conceive and execute programming that is measurable, impactful, and scalable to enhance existing GSO/GDC public relations and community affairs goals.
  • Help develop measurements to assess the success and efficacy of GDC/GSO-developed public relations programming, including designing collection of data, reports, and producing impact reports.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including close collaboration with the GDC Global Social Impact team to coordinate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion(DEI) and racial equity community engagement across Google.
