We're seeking a Director, Social Engagement to join VMLY&R's large and growing social marketing team.
Here's where you come in
You're an extremely online trend-seeker and meme enthusiast with a passion for internet culture and short-form writing. You'll create and shape our approach to behavior as the eyes, ears and voice of a brand through its owned social channels.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee the monitoring, assessment and responses to social media mentions, replies and comments.
- Write short-form content that embodies the brand's voice, and support the development and evolution of that voice over time.
- Develop real-time and long-term guidance on how and when the brand should respond to current events, online trends and potential controversies or threats.
- Identify and surface insights from the community behaviors, mentions and 1:1 interactions revelant to the brand.
- Hire, supervise and guide the development of junior team team members.
Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of social marketing experience
- Experience coaching and developing one or more direct reports
- Advanced understanding of social platforms, audiences and behaviors, and the ability to make sound decisions based on that knowledge
- Ability to apply knowledge of social media to effectively solve a wide variety of client challenges
- Strong communication and presentation skills in a wide variety of formats and settings
- Ability to collaborate effectively across organizations, departments, teams and individuals
