Director of Growth (Sales) - Canada
Lightyear Health is looking for our first Director of Growth to build and lead highly effective and innovative sales enablement strategies so we can expand our clinical services in existing and new geographies across the United States.
We are a healthcare technology startup that is changing what it means to age. By delivering accessible, proactive, specialty care to post-acute care facilities, our aging patients and their caregivers can live a life of dignity, fullness, and joy. Using our proprietary technology and expertise in complex care, our team collaborates with individuals, families, and caregivers to design personalized care plans that address the holistic needs of each patient.
To help us achieve our mission, we are looking to hire a Director of Growth who is great at building and leading replicable sales strategies and envisions a world where every aging patient has access to the world’s best geriatric care. This is a full time remote role, based in either the US or Canada, and will report to our Chief Growth Officer.
As a key member of our Growth team, here’s what you’ll do:
Key Outcomes:
- Build out critical processes and tools to support and grow the sales function, allow for cross team collaboration and create replicable workflows
- Leverage knowledge in sales and commercial leadership to lead growth strategies with community partners — primarily skilled nursing facilities — and expand our service areas to provide specialty care for aging patients and their caregivers
- Drive the hiring, training and development opportunities for the sales, sales development and customer success teams
- Manage relationships with key community and enterprise partners as necessary and support additional opportunities for growth
The most important skills for the role are*:
- Strategic Thinking in a Sales Context: Demonstrated ability to implement a sales strategy, track towards growth goals and meet or exceed expectations on a consistent basis
- Operational Leadership: Builds and leads systems and processes to support best in class sales function (i.e., customer value proposition, new product offerings, etc.), able to break down strategies into actionable workflows and processes, leverages data to drive continuous process improvements
- Team Leadership and Development: Proven track record of 2 years managing high quality individuals or teams, ideally in a sales context, able to set ambitious individual and team goals and support achievement of those goals
In addition to the above, it would be great if you also had:
- Content Knowledge: Domain expertise working in sales function in healthcare or healthtech, with a focus on care delivery model is a plus

Compensation:
We’re committed to an inclusive, consistent, and equitable approach to compensation and anticipate that this position will earn between $140K and $160K CAD annually. The exact salary will depend on (1) how many years of relevant and transferable experience you bring to the role and (2) the internal level at which you are hired in relation to our career development framework. All full time team members also receive meaningful equity in the form of a stock option grant.
