Demand Planner
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a highly motivated, goal-oriented, ambitious Demand Planner to join our exciting and fast-paced team in Dania Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience forecasting at multiple levels of aggregation, a passion for problem solving and process improvement, and a track record for utilizing data to drive decisions. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. The primary focus of this role will be to manage the sales forecasts of our catalog of over 60,000 SKUs. You will partner closely with Merchandising, Inventory Management, Finance, Analytics and Operations, and be the key stakeholder and influencer for the Integrated Business Planning process for your businesses. The role requires someone who can be agile, excellent prioritization skills, and think outside the box to succeed. What You’ll Do:
- Utilize ERP, Excel and SQL tools to analyze sales forecasts at various aggregation levels
- Provide multiple levels of the organization with updates of forecast information, including ongoing analysis and interpretation of the data. Present information verbally and in written reports.
- Determine root causes of error and implement processes to drive operational efficiency
- Utilize and optimize forecasting tools and exception reporting to improve sales forecasting at various aggregation levels in a fast-paced e-comm environment.
- Monitor weekly KPIs to hold stakeholders accountable for the successful delivery of key strategic targets and objectives.
- Represent Demand Planning in the Integrated Business Planning process to highlight risks, opportunities and trends within the business.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field
- 0-3 years of demand planning/forecasting experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills preferred
- Intermediate SQL skills preferred
- Strong written, verbal, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledgeable in forecasting algorithyms and models
- An ability to flawlessly multi-task and thrive under pressure and deadlines
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus
- E-commerce background is a plus
- Position may require travel
