About the role
We’re looking for our first customer marketing hire. If you enjoy building customer programs and webinars as much as writing case studies and nurture emails, this is a great opportunity. This is a strategic role that requires cross-functional collaboration between marketing, sales, customer success organizations. The right candidate will also have an opportunity to build the function from the ground up and develop exciting customer engagement programs & customer marketing assets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop customer references, case studies, video scripts, presentations, and joint customer content
- Own customer review sites like G2 and Gartner Peer Insights, and develop and run programs to drive reviews
- Build on the success of Starburst Voyagers, a customer advocacy program that positions Starburst customers as pioneers and experts in the data and analytics space
- Build and manage other customer engagement and expansion programs across all channels including email to onboard & nurture, webinars for custom content, and other digital & in-person events, as needed
- Document and analyze customer campaign performance to identify and prioritize areas for experimentation
- Recruit customers for press opportunities and speaking engagements at Datanova, Trino Summit, Data Mesh TV Show, and other industry events
- Support the logistics and management of the customer advisory board, as needed
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in customer, content, or product marketing, ideally some experience working for a company in the data & analytics space
- Experience building, managing, and running customer advocacy programs
- Demonstrated experience creating quality customer content and communications
- Demand generation experience ranging from digital marketing to event management preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment; start-up experience preferred
