Summary:

Vivint is looking for a Marketing Automations Manager to join our amazing in-house Customer Marketing team. This role will work collaboratively across the Marketing organization to help design and execute marketing campaign journeys that leverage the tools available in our email sending platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud). This person will create customer focused programs with the goal of engaging, nurturing and upgrading our current customers. The Marketing Automation Manager will analyze results and provide strategic recommendations to improve programs while learning daily operations and the integration of key systems.

In this role you will be an integral part of the marketing team with responsibilities across multiple functions. As our Marketing Automation Manager, you will operate in most of the Martech stack and touch almost every marketing campaign for the organization. This role requires robust project management, planning, reporting, and evaluation skills across lead nurturing, funnel management, and marketing operations. In addition to driving new business through pipeline generation, this role includes helping to oversee our customer marketing efforts and ongoing community education.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Creating, optimizing and analyzing marketing automation programs.
  • Architecture for database management, audience segmentation, lead nurturing & scoring
  • Ensure proper integration and data cleanliness between Marketing Cloud and Salesforce, working closely with internal marketing and sales operations and data teams.
  • Deliver status updates and recommendations for change.
  • Develop and implement software or system integrations/systems management.
  • Provide strategy and oversight into workflow automations.
  • Make best practice recommendations.
  • Partner in executing our privacy compliance for all inbound and outbound campaigns.
  • Coordinate and oversee development or consultant vendor projects and contractor relations.
  • Own the end-to-end marketing automation workflow from strategic planning, content creation, audience targeting, and post send analysis
  • Responsible for maintenance and data cleanliness of live customer-focused journeys.
  • Data architecture and collaboration of internal data use in customer marketing.
  • Leveraging data to drive performance and report regularly on findings.
  • Perform SQL and other customer segmenting functions.
  • Collaborate with customer marketing team to understand and execute on goals and objectives.
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders regarding project status
  • Run A/B tests for email campaigns and landing pages to optimize performance and tweak workflows accordingly.
  • Drive the development of regularly scheduled broadcast emails, define target segments, and write email content to execute and hit deadlines.
  • Stay on top of email marketing trends



  • 40% Marketing automation journey creation, maintenance and optimization
  • 30% strategy and planning
  • 20% SQL and other data comparison and research work
  • 10% Data Analysis and Reporting



Required Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other marketing automation platform
  • Experience with SQL for maintaining databases, targeting customers, etc.
  • Knowledge of CRM (ideally Salesforce).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite,
  • Proven understanding/experience using digital tools and strategies.
  • Ability to understand complex business information and effectively communicate key messages to and on behalf of all levels of business management
  • Possess a positive attitude and effect on the creative/professional staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines



Required Education/Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in marketing technology and operations focusing on execution of marketing campaigns
  • 3 - 5 years of technical expertise in one or more marketing automation tools (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Exact Target, Adobe Campaign, Oracle-CRM-Marketing, Eloqua, and/or Marketo)
  • 4+ years of experience across a broad range of digital/commerce technologies and platforms across Web Solutions, Digital Marketing, Enterprise Portals, Content and Cloud
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
