Associate Director, Customer Marketing Strategy
Bounteous is looking for an experienced Associate Director, Marketing Strategy to join the Customer Marketing Team, who has a focus in omnichannel owned channel strategy, 1st party data, campaign design and research. This positive, forward-thinking team member will support the Marketing Services Practice across channel experience and lifecycle design to discover use cases, improve customer digital touch-points & deliverables that drive client business goals.
Role + Responsibilities
- 70% Client facing engagements and strategic deliverables that evolve customer experience across owned channels
- 20% Supporting new business pursuits, understanding the opportunity, establishing activities & outputs, estimating hours/quoting
- 10% Research and innovation thought leadership
- Ownership of strategic deliverables across multiple client accounts, deliverables could include but not limited to:
- Discover customer use cases and strategize on owned channel & 1st party data channel applications
- Translate channel experiences into actionable digital trigger briefs
- Prioritized omnichannel campaign testing strategy (Email, SMS, Push, etc.)
- Website personalization C/W/R roadmap
- Website SEO strategy & recommendations
- Scale practice team for success by growing responsibly and mentoring team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience with 1st party data and owned customer channels
- Deep experience with digital marketing strategy, testing and deployment, including email, text and push notification campaigns. Ability to design & deliver your own output based on a framework
- Understanding of organic social strategy and channels
- Understanding of loyalty programs, offer management, and loyalty mechanics
- Understanding of customer lifecycle engagement and digital experience comms planning. Then align with solution SMEs to present how the technology can deliver on this personalization experience
- Experience & working knowledge of enterprise MarTech, including current Adobe Campaign and/or Salesforce Marketing Clouds. Preference given to candidates with relevant & current certifications
- Strong experience with website and search personalization
- Experience and strong understanding with the value of SEO strategy, SEO campaigns and integration as part of omnichannel solution
- Strong understanding of CRO strategy and website personalization
- Experience & knowledge of enterprise personalization, including current Google Marketing Cloud, Google AdWords/Analytics, AEM, Adobe Target, Aquia Personalize, and others. Preference given to candidates with relevant & current certifications
- Experience & knowledge of organic/paid social campaigns
- Understanding of User Experience & methodologies, and how it translates into operational testing, and customer experience success
- Experience working at a digital agency, with multiple competing clients & deliverables
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Superior organizational skills
- Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
- Ability to be comfortable progressing work with ambiguity and incomplete knowledge
- Has the mentality of an Autodidact
