Job Summary
Our Bridge Sector is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Marketing Communications Specialist on a freelance or on-call basis to join us in promoting our brand as well as our various major infrastructure projects. In this role, you will play a crucial part in promoting our brand through written content, digital marketing initiatives, and public relations strategies. We are looking for someone with expertise in communicating complex ideas clearly and compellingly to engage target audiences. The position is associated with our San Francisco and Manila offices but offers the flexibility to work in a hybrid work environment. As we are a global enterprise, the position requires the ability to work in various time zones.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Job Description
- Provide technical writing assistance to engineering principals on project articles.
- Produce project case studies, project sheets, resumes, and other collaterals.
- Develop slide presentations for speaking engagements and for client presentations.
- Secure speaking engagements in relevant industry conferences and academic institutes for technical professionals.
- Identify appropriate media opportunities and secure media coverage.
- Coordinate professional photography for completed projects.
- Craft industry award submissions for infrastructure projects.
- Conduct and coordinate a range of marketing support activities as guided by engineering principals.
- Promote projects and project news on social media platforms, including writing content for posts.
- Assist in responses to requests for proposals.
- Assist marketing teams in managing website content updates, including writing new content.
- Develop and execute a marketing strategy and corresponding plan.
- Collaborate with public relations firms as needed.
Qualifications
- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field, or years of equivalent experience demonstrating progressive responsibility.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in technical editing or writing. Experience in the Architecture/ Engineering/ Construction (AEC) industry would be considered an asset.
- Ability to understand requests for proposals (RFPs) and qualifications to organize and develop a relevant, thoughtful response.
- Superior organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Superior grammatical and writing skills with experience proofreading documents to ensure the integrity and quality of documents and proposals.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word. Strong proficiency in other Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally with co-workers, management, and clients.
