Job Description

Step into a newly created role in our Strategic Marketing Team as a Marketing Specialist. As one of four people in the team for this large NZ organisation, you will be able to learn from senior level team members.

Translate complex technical and scientific information into clear, B2B customer-focused marketing. Your campaigns, content, and sales enablement tools will help customers understand the value of our products and services, while supporting strong commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate complex technical, scientific & regulatory information into clear, B2B customer-focused messaging.
  • Develop compelling marketing communications for eDMs, collateral, presentations, and RFP responses.
  • Develop sales enablement tools and collateral that help our Sales & Customer Service teams communicate product value effectively.
  • Create & manage campaign audiences and segmentation to support targeted customer communications.
  • Reach out to customers to arrange customer interviews and support customer insight activities to inform product positioning & value propositions.
  • Support product marketing campaigns and event delivery.

Qualifications

About You:

A commercially minded B2B marketer with fantastic writing skills and able to convert complex information into clear, customer-focused messaging.

You understand that great marketing starts with understanding the customer and communicating value - not features.   You're curious, proactive, and confident working with people across the business, from technical specialists to sales teams. 

You bring:

  • A degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in B2B marketing, ideally within an organisation in the food, science, regulatory, primary industries, or similar technical industries.
  • Proven experience creating eDMs, sales collateral, customer communications, presentations, and RFP responses for B2B audiences
  • The ability to translate complex technical, scientific, or regulatory information into clear, persuasive, benefit-led messaging.
  • A strong customer focus and an instinct for connecting product features to customer needs and outcomes.
  • Experience creating target audiences and customer segments within CRM and marketing automation tools.

Additional Information

Key Benefits:

  • Hybrid working offered – ideally work in our Mt Wellington office 2 days per week, Blockhouse Bay Laboratory 1 day per week and can work from home up to 2 days per week.
  • 8 hours per day, anytime between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. (40 hours per week).
  • Full-time permanent position

Skills Required

  • Degree in marketing, communications, business, or related discipline
  • Prior experience in B2B marketing
  • Experience within food, science, regulatory, primary industries (ideal)
  • Proven experience creating eDMs, sales collateral, customer communications, presentations, and RFP responses
  • Ability to translate complex technical, scientific, or regulatory information into clear, persuasive, benefit-led messaging
