Job Description

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Marketing Specialist for our Dallas office with three to five years of AEC industry experience. This individuals focus will be multidiscipline proposal production, data/information management, and representing the department both internally and externally to support marketing and business development. This role involves collaborating across the company and within the department to achieve objectives, acting as the "go-to" for prime proposal development/production, debriefs, internal/external communication, coordinating client management, and company special events. The Marketing Specialist has knowledge of both marketing and business development (BD) concepts, strategies, and tactics, and is still gaining mastery and/or specializing skills.

The ideal candidate for the Marketing Specialist position should have a strong background in marketing, communications, and business development, with knowledge of concepts, strategies, and tactics. They should be organized, efficient, and passionate about collaboration and learning new concepts. The candidate should also have experience in managing proposals, maintaining data integrity, and coordinating internal and external communications. Success in this role is measured by the quality of completed assignments, efficiency, task/project management, and team coordination. Some outside commitment of time and effort is expected, including attending conferences, maintaining a social media presence, and participating in social events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the AEC Market.
  • Job experience and/or an educational background with an emphasis in marketing, writing, or communications.
  • Proficiency using MS Office 365 programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint). Most of our market materials are assembled in Adobe InDesign, so a working knowledge of this software is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills. Clear written and interpersonal communication and strong listening skills are a must.
  • The ability to take direction and work independently while prioritizing tasks associated with simultaneous deadlines.
  • This is an in-office position based in Dallas, Texas. We’re looking for someone who is already local to the area or willing to relocate prior to starting. Please note: this role is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements. Being on-site is essential for collaboration, team engagement, and participating in company and client events.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in prime proposal submittals and guide sub submittals.
  • Actively enter data into the CRM database and company info database, maintaining data integrity and consistency.
  • Plan, schedule, and facilitate go/no-go discussions with others.
  • Maintain relationships with marketing/BD counterparts within Coffman.
  • Manage coordination of client management and actively maintain client information.
  • Manage and develop company special events with other senior-level team members.
  • Participate in interview preparation as directed by others.
  • Coordinate internal and external company communications, developing relevant and timely content.
  • Attend industry events and take part in networking and business development organizations
