The Role
Are you a social-savvy storyteller with a knack for spotting the next big thing in influencer marketing?

A new role, reporting to our Head of Marketing Communications and Promotions, we are looking  for a dynamic Social Media Specialist to help us amplify our presence across Kogan.com, Matt Blatt, and Brosa. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping our brand voice, growing our community, and building authentic connections with creators and audiences alike.

In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing a high-performing influencer and contra partnership program aligned with brand and commercial goals
  • Sourcing and negotiating strategic influencer deals (paid and contra) in line with Kogan.com’s brand values
  • Leading end-to-end influencer campaigns, from briefing and contracts to approvals and reporting
  • Building strong, ongoing relationships with influencers, creators, and brand partners
  • Ensuring all content meets legal, regulatory, and brand guidelines
  • Developing and executing a results-driven organic social media strategy
  • Owning all social media channels, including content creation, scheduling, and community management
  • Creating engaging, on-brand content that supports campaigns and business priorities
  • Take ownership of all social media channels including content production, publishing, scheduling, and community management across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and emerging platforms
  • Staying across trends and social conversations to identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborating with external agencies to deliver aligned, high-quality assets
  • Partnering with internal teams to ensure social supports broader business objectives
  • Managing trackers, databases, contracts, and general admin
  • Reporting on performance and sentiment across social and influencer activity
  • Delivering insights to optimise future content and campaigns
  • Overseeing budget to ensure cost-effective execution within approved limits

To be successful in this role, you should be:

  • University degree qualified in a relevant field (Commerce, Business, Marketing, or similar)
  • A proactive social media marketer with hands-on experience sourcing, negotiating and managing influencer and contra partnerships, ideally in a Retail or eCommerce environment 
  • Proven experience developing and executing organic social media strategies with measurable results
  • A confident communicator and negotiator who can build strong, strategic relationships
  • Creative and organised, with an eye for compelling content and the ability to manage multiple campaigns at once
  • Comfortable interpreting data and using insights to drive strategy and performance
  • Highly collaborative, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage stakeholders
  • Up to date with social media trends, influencer and content best practice and audience behaviours
  • Commercially minded with experience managing budgets and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
