    Job Summary:

    The Marketing and Sales Specialist supports the Sales and School Relations team by coordinating marketing campaigns, content, events, lead-generation activities, and sales enablement resources that contribute to business growth. This role focuses on increasing awareness and engagement, generating qualified sales opportunities, maintaining accurate marketing and CRM data, and providing market insights that support outreach to colleges, universities, and other higher education stakeholders.


    Working collaboratively with sales and cross-functional partners, this position contributes to customer acquisition and institutional engagement through effective campaign execution, coordinated outreach, and timely sales support. The role supports the growth of ECMC Solutions by connecting higher education institutions with solutions focused on student success, financial wellness, career readiness, and student loan repayment.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develops and executes integrated email, lead-nurturing, social media, and digital marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives and target audiences.
    • Monitors campaign performance and recommend improvements to increase awareness, engagement, website traffic, lead generation, and qualified sales opportunities.
    • Creates clear, compelling, and brand-aligned content for websites, newsletters, blogs, social media, webinars, presentations, promotional materials, customer stories, case studies, and thought leadership initiatives.
    • Leverages AI tools to support content development, automate outreach efforts, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing activities.
    • Coordinates the planning, promotion, registration, logistics, materials, presentations, and follow-up for webinars, virtual events, customer meetings, conferences, and trade shows.
    • Partners with sales and other internal stakeholders to identify target audiences, generate and qualify leads, track opportunities, and support pipeline development.
    • Develops sales enablement materials, including customer presentations, demonstrations, proposals, one-pagers, brochures, case studies, flyers, and follow-up communications.
    • Researches higher education and EdTech markets, competitor activity, industry trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.
    • Translates market and competitive intelligence into actionable recommendations that support strategic planning, campaign development, and sales efforts.
    • Maintains accurate lead, prospect, contact, and campaign data in CRM and marketing systems, and communicates marketing and sales-enablement results through reports, dashboards, and presentations.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Sales, Public Relations, or a related field; or an additional two years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
    • 2+ years of professional experience in marketing, sales support, business development, communications, or a related field.
    • Experience creating marketing content, campaigns, presentations, and customer-facing communications across multiple channels.
    • Experience coordinating projects, events, or marketing initiatives with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using CRM, marketing automation, and digital marketing platforms.
    • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders while supporting multiple projects and initiatives.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in higher education, EdTech, student services, workforce development, financial aid, or a related industry.
    • Experience supporting lead generation, sales development, business development, or integrated marketing campaigns.
    • Basic graphic design skills / experience using Canva or AI design tools 
    • Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform and marketing automation tools.
    • Experience planning and supporting webinars, conferences, trade shows, and other customer-facing events, including the use of AI tools to enhance marketing effectiveness.

    The pay range for this position is $75,000-$85,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, peer and market benchmarks, and geographic location.


    This position is classified as hybrid Monday - Wednesday and requires attendance in Minneapolis, MN.
