Marketing & Sales Representative

Position Summary: 

As directed by Boeing Distribution., primary role is to provide complete customer account coverage and market development for all Boeing Distribution Products in a designated geographical territory in cooperation with the efforts of the customer account team. Customer application / design assistance, product demonstrations, customer usage forecasting, and product training will be a vital part of the job.  Partnering with our suppliers is expected. Build a number of marketing data bases profiling customers, industries, programs, and subcontractors.

Position Responsibilities:

1.Main interface to the customers of the assigned territory and key contact to drive Boeing Distribution products and solutions for Boeing Distribution. Provide optimal customer coverage to assigned territory (expanding with existing accounts while pursuing new accounts) and actively support the strategy as aligned with Boeing Distribution.

2.Creation of written overall Territory Coverage Plan, for approval by Boeing Distribution., which will include:

  • Achieving annual and quarterly objectives as defined by Boeing Distribution leaders. 

  • Target Accounts which will be agreed upon with the customer account teams.

  • Customer Profiling. 

  • Account Strategies on how to penetrate new and existing accounts.  Initiates and coordinates the development of action plans to penetrate new markets or identify new business opportunities. 

  • A summary of major opportunities at designated target accounts for key product groups in the next 12 - 18 months outlining customer solution potentials and the dates they will be achieved.  

  • Assist Boeing Distribution leaders with industry and territory forecasting.  

3.Responsible for business development and market strategies within a set region which includes achievement of revenue plans as prescribed by Boeing Distribution. 

  • Achieving annual and quarterly objectives as defined by Boeing Distribution leaders.

  • Leads strategic opportunities from inception to completion. 

  • Contract negotiation. 

  • Develop competition analysis for their territory, (strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities).

  • Grow existing accounts utilizing new product opportunities (hardware, chemicals, lighting, tooling, machined parts, etc.). 

  • Develop specific target accounts and account strategies with customer account team under direction of Boeing Distribution. 

  • Provide support of value added services, long term customer solution proposals and presentations. 

  • Provide customer application and design assistance. 

  • Provide product demonstrations and product training. Develop partnerships with our suppliers focusing on target markets and target accounts.  

  • Provide support for Cash Collection and update information on Customer credit risk if any. 

4. Consistent written and verbal communication with customer account team and Boeing Distribution Leadership by outlining and updating all with customer and market opportunities and issues, including: Itineraries and Call Reports.

5. Obtains commitment within parameters approved by management.

6. Drives sales and campaign activities to successful completion by integrating multiple aspects of the customers' needs. Crafts campaign specific strategies, procures resources and secures management commitment to ensure successful execution.

7. Creates metrics to monitor campaign project status and budget requirements.

8. Integrates knowledge into business strategies and solutions.

9. Utilize business tools as prescribed by Boeing Distribution leadership to drive communication and reporting.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

 Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant working experience

  • Degree in Business and/or Engineering 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all “C’ class parts, Consumables, Chemicals including performance, applications and trouble shooting. 

  • Ability to expand the products and services for particular customers and provide customer application and design assistance, 

  • Able to travel within Asia and/or globally.  

  • Proficient knowledge in all MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Good oral and written communication skills.  Able to articulate and clearly express ideas both verbally and in written format. Ability to provide product demonstrations

  • Able to think and act strategically   

  • Knowledge of the aerospace/aviation/OEM industry required

  • Excellent relationship skills and ability to influence

  • Good numeric skills

  • Excellent presentation skills - confident and polished speaker and presenter

  • Ability to manage large and/or complex corporate accounts

  • Smart, proactive, self-starter with perpetual sense of urgency 

  • Create added value for the customer 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • More than 10 years years of Experience (preferred)

  • Aviation industry preferred

  • This vacancy is for an international, locally hired position in Singapore.

  • Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll, and will commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable local law.
