Position Summary:
Manages employees planning, developing and managing sales and marketing campaigns. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for revenue, profitability and performance of assigned customers.
- Responsible for identification and execution of strategies that achieve short and long-term business growth objectives.
- Developing and retaining talent, as well as actively drive and manage formal succession plans. Ensure company resources and skill set align with company growth strategies.
- Drive accountability through metrics and data to measure team.
- Help to obtain and keep BDSI leadership informed of customer strategies, growth plans, and any competitive intelligence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal leaders regarding customer specific strategy, execution and customer relationship management.
- Leads the approval process by advocating the customer requirements and selling the business case to management to ensure quality deal.
- Main interface to the customers of the assigned territory and key contact to drive BDSI products and solutions for BDSI. Provide optimal customer coverage to assigned territory (expanding with existing accounts while pursuing new accounts) and actively support the strategy as aligned with BDSI.
- Responsible for business development and market strategies within a set region which includes achievement of revenue plans as prescribed by BDSI
- Achieving annual and quarterly objectives as defined by BDSI leaders
- Leads strategic opportunities from inception to completion
- Contract negotiation.
- Develop competition analysis for their territory, (strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities).
- Grow existing accounts utilizing new product opportunities (hardware, chemicals, lighting, tooling, machined parts, etc.).
- Develop specific target accounts and account strategies with customer account team under direction of BDSI.
- Provide support of value added services, long term customer solution proposals and presentations.
- Provide product demonstrations and product training. Develop partnerships with our suppliers focusing on target markets and target accounts.
- Provide support for Cash Collection and update information on Customer credit risk if any.
- Obtains commitment within parameters approved by management.
- Drives sales and campaign activities to successful completion by integrating multiple aspects of the customers' needs. Crafts campaign specific strategies, procures resources and secures management commitment to ensure successful execution.
- Creates metrics to monitor campaign project status and budget requirements.
- Integrates knowledge into business strategies and solutions.
- Utilise business tools as prescribed by BDSI leadership to drive communication and reporting.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
- 6-8 years of related work experience in the industry
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving analytical skills
- Ability to work large volume data at high speed with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to collaborate with all levels of employees, management, and external customers
- Strong commitment to quality and delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
- 4-6 years of supervisory experience, ability to manage a direct team of at least 4-5 members
