What You’ll Do

Cohen & Co is looking for a detail-oriented Marketing Proposal Specialist to join our Marketing team. Reporting to the Director of Sales Enablement, this role helps support the firm’s growth by creating, editing, coordinating, and tracking compelling sales proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, and other client-facing materials. You'll work closely with partners, senior leaders, and professionals across the firm while gaining exposure to a variety of industries and service lines.


We're looking for someone who enjoys writing, editing, and managing projects in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with exceptional attention to detail, the ability to balance multiple deadlines, and a passion for delivering polished, high-quality work. Proposal Development & Execution
  • Create, edit, and manage proposal documents using approved templates and firm resources.
  • Coordinate proposal development from request through final submission.
  • Customize content to align with client needs while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Support pitch materials, presentations, agendas, and other business development collateral.

Writing, Editing & Quality Control
  • Draft, edit, and proofread proposal content and supporting materials.
  • Ensure documents are clear, compelling, accurate, and aligned with firm branding and style guidelines.
  • Perform final quality reviews for grammar, formatting, and consistency before submission.

Salesforce & Content Management
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to track proposal activity and retrieve information for proposals and pursuits.
  • Maintain proposal content libraries, templates, and firm experience databases.
  • Ensure proposal materials are properly organized, filed, and archived.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with accountants, marketing team members, partners, and senior leaders to gather information and develop proposal responses.
  • Support responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs while ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Assist internal teams with proposal-related requests and business development initiatives.

Process Improvement & Reporting
  • Help maintain and improve proposal processes, templates, and documentation.
  • Track proposal activity and marketing metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and overall proposal quality.
Who You Are Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in professional services, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and grammar skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to quickly learn new topics, industries, and service offerings.
  • Team-oriented, resourceful, and collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting proposal development within accounting, consulting, legal, engineering, or other professional services organizations.
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM.
  • Experience creating responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Familiarity with proposal management software, processes, templates, and content libraries.
  • Experience with InDesign or similar document design software.
  • Knowledge of accounting, tax, advisory, or professional services environments.

Estimated Base Range: $65,000 - $75,000

*Base compensation offered to candidates are determined based on factors such as candidate's relevant skillset, experience, licensure, and certifications, as well as job responsibilities, geography, market considerations, and organizational needs.
