The Program Manager is a key role within Taco Bell’s Marketing Operations team, supporting our Loyalty and Delivery enterprise businesses. This role will be primarily responsible for actively leading and managing the end-to-end project/program plans inclusive of (but not limited to) the scope, timelines, budget, and cross-functional resources required while proactively mitigating risks that may arise to ensure all aspects of the program are delivered successfully. 

In this position, the Program Manager will work collaboratively within these respective enterprise teams, led by the Leads of Loyalty and Delivery, to develop and execute against the marketing plan.  This role will work across our marketing function and broader organization to identify and engage with stakeholders, capture requirements, develop workplans, lead status meetings, develop project/program metrics, tools/artifacts, and develop leadership stakeholder communication documents that demonstrate planning, project health, and progress to initiatives.

The Program Manager will report to the Sr Manager of Marketing Operations. With this role, the opportunities are endless as a key team member on the marketing team, leading the way in terms of how we evolve project delivery within the marketing organization. 

  • Oversee and actively manage the delivery of work against the Loyalty and Delivery businesses from the initial phases of the brand calendar development and ideation to deployment actively manage interdependencies.
  • Implement robust project management methodologies to ensure the successful planning, execution and delivery of loyalty program and delivery initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Team lead to outline the key work streams and oversee progress against the work, supporting team lead on progress, key deliverables, and identification of key risks.
  • Serve as key integrator into the 3Ds (Design, Discover, Deploy) process, ensuring Loyalty and Delivery initiatives are moving through the operating model, with clear decisions and outcomes and connections within the larger marketing calendar.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and program leaders to align loyalty or delivery program objectives and roadmaps with overall business goals.
  • Lead stakeholder and project team meetings and help drive content/key messages for meetings with Senior Leadership (and leads the meetings).
  • Accountable to effectively plan, facilitate, and ensure assigned initiatives are on track (monitoring/reporting progress and follow-up on action items).
  • Oversee planning against Franchise Management Advisory Council (FRANMAC) digital alignments to support the Loyalty and Delivery enterprises as a well as digital integration into marketing alignments.
  • Escalates issues and roadblocks to Team Leader/Manager with proposed solutions and can resolve issues autonomously for complex problems.
  • This role is both strategic and tactical, requiring an agile thinker with strong planning ability, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Anticipate issues that would impair the team’s ability to delivery and define mitigation strategies.
  • Work across Taco Bell and cross functional leaders and the change management office to inform on team efforts, highlight key blockers, and areas of opportunity.
  • Champion development of project/program management within marketing, developing portfolio capabilities and tools to better manage the work, collaborating across the PM team.
  • Active involvement and influence in building out ways of working maturity and capabilities by participating and establishing project/program management standard tools and best practices.
  • Development of dashboards of existing project/program plans and status, that can be leveraged by teams and senior leadership to understand progress and areas of opportunity.

  • 7+ years of related project/program management work experience in digital marketing with enterprise size organizations
  • 3+ years of recent enterprise loyalty program experience; knowledge of delivery/off-premise business a plus
  • Must have a BA/BS degree; MBA a plus
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and escalate roadblocks in a timely manner
  • Strong knowledge and exposure in PM technical expertise categories - planning & programming, process optimization, and communication
  • Strong judgment, issues management, and problem analysis techniques
  • Knowledge and experience in agile and change management methodologies
  • Positive, self-motivated attitude and detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience driving work within marketing organization, non-technology environments; specific knowledge of marketing practices
  • QSR, fast casual, restaurant, or retail industry experience a plus
