Job Overview
The Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for enabling execution of global marketing priorities by managing the operational processes required to coordinate, approve, deploy, and track marketing tactics and materials across international markets. The role provides project management and operational support for marketing initiatives, including agency coordination, congress support, vendor management, budget tracking, promotional review readiness, and content deployment activities. The position works in a highly matrixed environment and partners closely with Marketing, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Finance, Procurement, agencies, and affiliate stakeholders to ensure activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with company policies and brand objectives. The role focuses on operational excellence and execution and does not own brand strategy or marketing direction.
Principal Accountabilities
- Manage execution of marketing projects, campaign deliverables, congress materials, asset deployment, and operational support activities.
- Coordinate agency and vendor activities, including timelines, statements of work, purchase orders, budget tracking, invoice management, and deliverable follow-up.
- Support promotional review readiness by coordinating document preparation, references, routing, revisions, approval tracking, and stakeholder alignment.
- Support global-to-local content deployment, repository management, content distribution, and affiliate communication.
- Track project status, identify risks, provide progress reporting, and recommend process improvements to strengthen execution.
Minimum Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Communications, or related discipline preferred.
- Advanced degree or MBA preferred but not required.
- Fluent written and spoken English required.
- Additional language capabilities are considered an advantage.
Minimum Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, marketing operations, commercial operations, or project coordination roles preferred.
- Demonstrated project management experience across multiple workstreams.
- Experience coordinating agency relationships and vendor activities preferred.
- Exposure to promotional review processes and compliance-driven environments preferred.
- Strong organizational and execution skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work successfully in a matrixed environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and marketing workflow platforms.
