About Us
CareerOS is a B2B2C career platform serving 150+ top universities worldwide, including Oxford, ESADE, HEC, London Business School, UC Berkeley and more, alongside 30+ employer partners. We help 500k+ students land jobs they love, and we're growing!
We're a lean, high-output team based in Barcelona. 22 FTEs and growing, €4m+ raised from top investors. We move fast, own our decisions, and push each other to do great work. Marketing here isn't a support function, it's a growth engine, and right now it runs through one person.
The Role
We need someone who can pick up the entire marketing function and run with it, without much hand-holding. You've owned a channel or a program before, made the calls yourself, and dealt with what happened next, good or bad.
You'll report directly to the founders and our Head of Growth. But day to day, you're the one deciding what's worth doing and what isn't.
This isn't a role where things get handed to you in a neat brief. You set your own priorities and figure out the rest.
Main areas you'll own: sales enablement, product marketing, webinars, paid acquisition, events (virtual and in-person), and community programs.
Typical split: about half sales support and ops, half digital campaigns and content. It shifts depending on the quarter. ⚡
Start date: ASAP
What You'll Actually Do
🤖 Use AI like it's second nature. You're already running AI tools daily for content, asset generation, campaign work, maybe you've even built a small agent or two to take repetitive stuff off your plate. We need someone who's past the "learning how to prompt" stage.
🎉 Run events end to end, and own how they go. International virtual career fairs, webinars, touchpoints with talent teams at top companies. Registration, comms, live coordination, the post-mortem after. If something flops, you're the one who knows why and fixes it next time.
💻 Own webinars, not just run them. You decide the format and cadence, not just execute someone else's calendar.
🔀 Keep HubSpot clean and leads moving. LinkedIn, ebooks, demos, webinars, you decide how it all gets routed and why, and you can explain your logic to someone who asks.
📣 Run LinkedIn paid campaigns on your own. You set the targeting and budget calls, and you kill what's not working without waiting for permission.
📢 Drive product marketing with an actual point of view. The bi-weekly newsletter is one piece of it, but you'll decide what story we're telling and where, across email, in-app, launches.
📱 Lead content and social. LinkedIn, the website, student-facing comms. You set the direction, not just fill a content calendar.
🎨 Make sales collateral that actually helps close deals, not just look nice. Flyers, one-pagers, guides, customized for the client because you get what moves them.
🤝 Own client onboarding content. Videos, emails, whatever gets people unstuck. You figure out what they actually need.
🎓 Take the Student Ambassador Program and make it yours. Grow it, make it scalable, run the campus activations.
What You'll Need
You've owned a marketing function or a major channel before, solo, not just supported one
You're already fluent with AI tools for content and workflows, you've built something with them, not just used ChatGPT here and there
You've run an event from scratch and survived the stressful week before it, without someone steering you through it
You're comfortable in HubSpot and can explain why you set things up the way you did
Strong written English, you'll be writing things that go out to thousands of people
Basic Figma or Canva skills, enough to customize templates and make them look sharp
You're juggling five things at once and nothing slips, because you built the system that catches it
You spot the gap before someone points it out
✅ Right to work in Spain, we can't sponsor visas for this role right now
Bonus points if:
You've built AI agents or automated workflows that actually changed how you work
You've been at a startup or fast-growing team where you owned outcomes, not tasks
You know webinar platforms like Streamyard
You've used Customer.io, Webflow, or Notion
You've grown a community or ambassador program
You've run LinkedIn ads and have real opinions, backed by data, on what works
What This Role Isn't
❌ Not a specialist gig. You'll run an event one week and tweak a LinkedIn campaign the next. If you want to go deep on one thing only, this isn't it.
❌ Not structured. Priorities shift and you're expected to reprioritize on your own judgment.
❌ Not a pure executor role. We want pushback, ideas, and someone comfortable disagreeing with the founders when they're right to.
❌ Not remote. On-site in Barcelona, hybrid-friendly for the right moments, not a remote job.
Where This Goes
You'll basically be building and running marketing here as we scale. As the team grows, you can specialize further or grow into managing people, depending on what fits you and what we need.
