Job Description Summary
Marketing Manager for Branded Partnerships reinvents how we market to Zappos customers by driving results through high value experience, and marketing through both internal and external partners. This role is responsible for developing and executing a variety of customer-focused and data-driven initiatives related to the website, marketing, and customer experience. This individual will work closely with the internal business partners (merchandising, editorial production, tech, variable marketing) to drive growth and shape the experience for Zappos customers. The Marketing Manager for Branded Partnerships is analytical, enthusiastic, innovative, customer-focused, problem solver, with strong writing skills and a passion for building B2B relationships. They will conceive, propose, and sell new ideas, strategies, and concepts; guide those projects to completion, and take full ownership and responsibility for successful delivery. In this role, the Marketing Manager will be expected to flex both their analytical skills and creative muscles and should be as comfortable with the marketing science as they are with the marketing art, demonstrating the ability to appropriately use one to inform the other. Has experience with online and offline marketing, making data-driven decisions, and influencing others. They will have experience managing customer facing businesses and demonstrated ability to drive traffic and new customer acquisition.

In this role, you will work with a variety of internal teams and key brands to achieve marketing benchmarks in support of revenue goals, with KPIs all geared towards WOWing consumers through 360 marketing efforts. You will be focused on making Zappos a destination for consumers through our marketing efforts and partnerships around a specific set of brands. Through your ability to lead with empathy and cross-functional collaboration, you foster and maintain relationships to drive lasting business partnerships. You are comfortable navigating through ambiguity and can make decisions that are best for Zappos and Zappos consumers. You find balance for marketing brands in Zappos calendar moments as well as in support of key brand launches We would love to tap into your creative muscle and past experience to deliver unique marketing campaigns, activations and events for our brands that only Zappos can do.
We are looking for someone to join our Branded Partnerships team, a part of Zappos Marketing, that enjoys a fast-paced creative environment, a serious desire to deliver the best to our clients and consumers, and interested in a one-of-a-kind team and company culture centered around fun.
What You’ll Be Doing
The buck stops with us for all matters pertaining to marketing, strategy, campaign performance and additional marketing tactics in partnership with top footwear and apparel brands. Build marketing plans that unlock new and exciting consumer led opportunities with our brands, including exclusive products, early access release, and unique marketing activations. Develop and maintain meaningful relationships between external partners, merchandising, marketing, and other internal cross functional partners to maximize our relationships and business goals with top brands.
What You’ll Bring
- Ability to build consumer centric 360-degree marketing programs that drive awareness, consideration and conversion
- Act as a liaison to clients of your portfolio to ensure their marketing strategy and vision comes to life through the Zappos lens
- Develop a meaningful understanding of your portfolio, partners, and brand strategies
- Manage every stage of the marketing relationship lifecycle with exceptional attention to detail, from brief to execution
- Support members of the team to ensure successful campaign management and execution
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, team members, and agency partners
- Work cross functionally with teams across the organization and bridge gaps to achieve goals
- Be able to work independently & as part of a team in a fast pace, rapid changing environment
- Identify, develop and drive programs that accomplish objectives for the consumer, the brands and our business together with them
- Conduct client meetings to align and grow business
- Navigate and negotiate through difficult conversations with clients
- Effectively and efficiently manage multi-million dollar portfolios
- Be an effective business partner and provide consistent and clear communication.
- Have a can-do, positive, inspiring attitude with an outside-the-box, innovative and creative mindset.
- Provide analysis, standard methodologies and recommendations for clients
- Travel to key markets to grow brand sentiment and support
- Remain up to date of current and emerging marketing and industry trends, headlines and notable news for potential pitching opportunities
- 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably with e-commerce/retail, brand, or agency
What Really Excites Us

This role is open to candidates physically located in the following metropolitan statistical areas: Las Vegas, NV; New York, NY; and Seattle, WA. Candidates who are not physically located in one of these areas may not be considered for this role.
The expected base pay range for this position is $129,500-147,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, a full range of medical and other benefits is offered.
