Company Background

Censys’ mission is to be the one place to understand everything on the internet. Frustrated by the lack of trustworthy Internet intelligence, we set out to create the industry’s most comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date map of the Internet. Today, Censys delivers real-time Internet intelligence and actionable threat insights to global governments, over 50% of the Fortune 500, and leading threat intelligence providers worldwide.

Censys is looking for an experienced, independent Marketing Manager (APJ Region) to lead and execute regional marketing activities across Asia-Pacific and Japan. This person will serve as the extended arm of the global Marketing team in APJ, translating Censys’ global marketing strategy into programs that are relevant, effective, and impactful across the region.

Working closely with the Demand Team, APJ GTM organization and stakeholders across Censys, this role will own regional execution across industry events, webinars, virtual and in-person workshops, demand generation campaigns, content localization, and public relations. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable being the first or primary marketer in a region. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable developing a regional plan, aligning with the global demand strategy and regional needs, managing agencies and vendors, and personally executing campaigns and programs.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the extended arm of the global Marketing team in APJ, translating Censys's global strategy into relevant regional programs and execution
  • Partner closely with the APJ GTM team to align marketing priorities with regional sales, pipeline, and growth objectives
  • Develop and execute the APJ regional marketing plan, balancing global priorities with local market needs and opportunities
  • Own Censys's participation in key APJ cybersecurity and technology industry events, including sponsorships, planning, execution, and follow-up
  • Plan and execute Censys webinars with topics, speakers, and content relevant to APJ audiences
  • Develop and run virtual and in-person Censys workshops to engage prospects, customers, and target accounts
  • Execute regional demand generation campaigns across paid, social, email, digital, events, and other relevant channels
  • Adapt and activate global campaigns for APJ, and build region-specific programs where local market requirements differ
  • Partner with global Content and Product Marketing to localize and adapt messaging around Censys's authoritative Internet Map and threat/exposure management capabilities for APJ audiences
  • Own regional PR and media relations execution, aligned with global communications and brand strategy from HQ
  • Identify opportunities to build Censys brand awareness through media, thought leadership, events, partners, and regional communities
  • Manage regional agencies, vendors, event partners, budgets, timelines, and campaign logistics
  • Collaborate with Sales on target audiences, accounts, campaign follow-up, and pipeline acceleration
  • Track and analyze regional marketing performance — engagement, conversion, pipeline contribution, ROI — and optimize accordingly
  • Maintain strong communication with HQ and APJ stakeholders, bringing regional insight back to global teams while independently driving execution
  • Partner with channel and distribution partners across APJ on joint marketing plans, campaigns, events, and demand generation programs
  • Apply curiosity and sound judgment in leveraging AI tools to work faster and smarter
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally within cybersecurity, security technology, or enterprise SaaS
  • Experience as the first, primary, or highly autonomous marketer for an APJ region, with a track record of building regional programs while working within a global team
  • Strong understanding of APJ markets, with experience adapting global marketing strategies across different countries, audiences, and buying environments
  • Demonstrated experience executing industry events, webinars, field marketing programs, workshops, and demand generation campaigns
  • Experience partnering closely with regional Sales and GTM teams to support pipeline and revenue objectives
  • Experience managing PR agencies, media relationships, vendors, and external partners
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to run multiple campaigns and programs simultaneously
  • Highly independent and comfortable operating in a distributed, remote environment across time zones
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, balancing regional needs with global priorities
  • Analytical mindset, connecting marketing activity to measurable business outcomes
  • Hands-on experience with a modern B2B marketing stack — Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoom Events/Webinars, and Asana experience preferred
  • Proven ability to use LLM and generative AI tools for marketing productivity, research, content development, and campaign execution
  • Professional fluency in English required; fluency in Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin Chinese is a strong advantage
