The Marketing Lead is the primary strategic partner to the Regional Marketing Director (RMD) and drives marketing execution across the full ecosystem of centralized capabilities: Production, Paid Media, Social, CRM and Lifecycle. This role translates strategy into integrated campaign plans, owns the campaign calendar, and is the day-to-day marketing contact for station leadership across the portfolio.


Responsibilities:


  • This person excels at navigating complexity, building stakeholder trust, and leading integrated work across multiple teams and markets.

Strategic & Campaign Leadership

  • Develop the campaign brief for each initiative — translating RMD strategy into an integrated plan with clear objectives, target audiences, key messages, channel mix and success metrics — and submit to the RMD for approval before execution begins.
  • Own the regional campaign calendar and integrated delivery timeline; ensure all campaigns are planned, resourced and launched on time and to spec.
  • Lead campaign development and execution, coordinating across Production, Paid, Social, CRM, Lifecycle and other centralized capabilities.
  • Direct Marketing Specialist to initiate campaign setup in monday.com; confirm boards are complete with the right assignments, timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Production through the creative development process — bring the audience, brand, and business context to concept development and scripting.
  • Hold creative and strategic standards across all campaign deliverables; ensure every asset is on-brand, on-message, and built to perform.
  • Drive clarity and prioritization across a complex portfolio of concurrent campaigns; make informed trade-offs and escalate strategic conflicts to the RMD as needed.

Station Partnership & Communications

  • Serve as the day-to-day marketing partner to station general managers, news directors and content leaders across the region.
  • Communicate campaign plans, status, and results clearly to station stakeholders; manage expectations, align on priorities and surface issues early.
  • Maintain the continuity and market context that allow centralized teams to move fast and with credibility in each market.

Campaign Performance & Team Development

  • Establish measurement frameworks for campaigns; track and report performance against objectives for the RMD and station leadership.
  • Apply audience data, ratings, digital analytics and market feedback to sharpen campaign strategy; translate performance patterns into recommendations that improve future planning and strengthen the team's overall approach.
  • Model campaign management discipline, strategic thinking and stakeholder communications; raise the overall capability and consistency of the marketing team.

Requirements:

  • 5–7 years in marketing, integrated campaign management or brand strategy — media, broadcast or a fast-moving content environment strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead integrated campaigns across multiple markets, channels and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills; comfortable translating complex strategy into clear stakeholder-ready messaging and creative briefs.
  • Strong command of campaign planning, prioritization and project management; experience with monday.com, Asana or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across paid media, social, CRM, content and other marketing channels toward shared campaign outcomes.
  • Familiarity with audience research, ratings, digital analytics and performance measurement in a media or broadcast context.
  • Comfortable operating in a 24/7 news-driven environment with fast-moving priorities, breaking news demands and tight timelines.
  • Must be willing to travel to markets within the portfolio when needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
