This role will bring together multi-channel campaigns, ensuring JLL actively engages and connects with our clients through online, physical and hybrid events to establish JLL thought leadership and generate commercial growth.
Key to this will be the ability to project manage our marketing activation to the highest standards. This includes developing detailed project plans and milestones, bringing together key marketing and business stakeholders from across JLL, and managing budgets, suppliers and taking ownership of execution.
Reporting into the Growth Marketing lead, the Marketing & Events Manager will have an excellent and up-to-date breadth of knowledge on marketing channels and will thrive on constantly pushing the boundaries to ensure JLL’s campaign execution is seen as best in class. They’ll understand and be comfortable with content production, have a keen eye for detail, be able to leverage the latest digital channels with the integration of AI and work through the event client journey. Bringing these skills together the person will ensure we continuously engage our clients and prospects in new and compelling ways.
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy Development: Develop and oversee a comprehensive UK event strategy aligned with JLL's business goals and objectives. Continuously innovate and adapt the strategy based on market trends and business needs.
Event Planning and Execution: Plan and implement a diverse portfolio of high-end events, including large-scale hybrid thought leadership events like UKREiiF, signature JLL events such as the JLL Property Triathlon, and intimate, exclusive gatherings for key clients. Ensure flawless execution, meeting objectives, budgets, and timelines. Develop detailed event proposals, including venue selection, supplier sourcing, and cost analysis. Manage end-to-end event production, from concept to post-event evaluation.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand and align with their business needs and goals. Foster partnerships to create valuable, memorable experiences for clients and employees. Regularly communicate event progress and outcomes to key stakeholders.
Vendor Management: Identify and manage relationships with external vendors, including agencies, caterers, AV suppliers, and technology providers. Negotiate contracts to ensure optimal value and service. Oversee event budgets, creating detailed financial plans for each event. Monitor and control expenses to ensure events are delivered within budget.
Creative and Content Management: Brief and collaborate with the creative team to produce high-quality event collateral (invitations, menus, signage, etc.). Manage the end-to-end invitation process, ensuring a seamless guest experience. Oversee RSVP tracking and regular status updates to internal stakeholders.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the wider internal teams to ensure an integrated approach to all events. With the ability to manage multiple competing event priorities.
Performance Measurement and Optimisation: Measure the effectiveness and Return on investment of each event: Analyse event data and feedback to identify areas for improvement. Make data-driven recommendations to enhance event quality and impact. Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continually elevate JLL's event offerings.
Email Marketing: Supporting and coordinating email marketing efforts, diligently segmenting target audiences, so that the right messages meet the right audiences
Personal Attributes
To be successful in this role, the candidate will be an energetic, creative and experienced marketer with the following skills;
Highly organised, interpersonal, strong project management skill set, with 3+ years in the events industry
Self-motivated, proactive and have an ability to project plan and manage, timelines and budgets
Must have experience managing external suppliers, briefing designers, and collaborating with wider Marcomms teams
Experienced in delegating and collaborative working for optimal productivity and to ensure all events are executed to the highest standards
Devise clear Standard Operating Procedures for all events, manage all processes and take full ownership of end-to-end event production
Ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy, detail oriented
Clear concise written, verbal, and visual communication skills
Be comfortable handling pressure, high demands, and multi-tasking
Able to report directly to senior leaders in a concise and professional manner, paying particular attention to detail including presentation style and formatting
Able to build excellent stakeholder relationships with all levels of seniority, and always ensure open lines of communication
Accountable for all pre-event planning, organising guest speakers, delegate packs and to conduct event briefing for speakers, staff, suppliers, and stakeholders
Energetic, courteous, and proactive always and a team player with a clear understanding of the value of events for brand activation and client engagement
