Position Summary:
The Marketing & Events Coordinator assists with the smooth running of all events taking place at the La Kretz Innovation Campus. The role also ensures the smooth running of the internal MarCom agency within LACI, by working across software platforms to ensure all campaigns and projects are executed to the highest standard. The Marketing and Communications team at LACI uses events as a function of marketing to broadcast our successes, create engagement and drive a space to convene around thought leadership in the Cleantech ecosystem.
What You’ll Do:
- MarCom Admin and Reporting: Update media tracker. Organize invoices and credit card statements. Keep MarCom shared drive with content and imagery updated and organized. Project coordination, including SalesForce data entry and reconciliation, invite list management and exporting from Eventbrite/Events Registration Software. Collaborate with the VP Marketing & Communications and MarCom team to faithfully translate Asana tasks into real world events and deliverables
- Event Execution: Assist and staff multiple events, meetings and conferences at the LKIC campus. Ensure excellent customer service at the time of the event. Foresee client needs and problem solve in real time. Act as a steward for the space, making sure guests and clients adhere to space limitations/requirements. Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure proper event setup including some physical setup time with tasks like moving tables, chairs and light event materials.
- Event Planning Support: Assist in event planning, production and design. Communicate with guests and clients about their needs, conduct walkthroughs of the space. Interface with client in pre-planning of event, including creating quotes, invoices, booking catering, communicating parking logistics and general expectation management. Interpret and translate event plans. Collaborate with A/V Coordinator to make sure tech tests, A/V setup meets client expectations
- Client engagement and collaboration: Interact with and provide day-to-day communication to internal teams, clients, partners, and any other relevant parties. Assist in updating content calendar of communications (across all channels) featuring founders/startups and LACI program successes across all pillars

Requirements:
Basically, we want to know you can get the job done. This means you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field or relevant experience
- 2-4 years relevant experience working in Marketing, Communications & Events, etc
- Experience with software programs including Wordpress, Asana, MailChimp, Eventbrite, Salesforce, Google Suite and FormAssembly
- Experience directly interfacing with internal stakeholders with a customer service mindset.
- Non-profit experience preferred
Work Requirements
- Must work in person, Downtown LA Office
- Ability to have an active role in events on Campus, some events may require the ability to stand for long periods of time, set up/break-down, and other requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
Position Details:
This is a full-time position, starting immediately. LACI operates out of the La Kretz Innovation Campus, in the bustling Downtown LA Arts District. Since we are rapidly growing, you will be getting in on the ground floor at LACI, with the opportunity to evolve with us and shape your future here.
Salary Range: Coordinator Range $50-60k commensurate with experience, education, skills, etc and total compensation package including health benefits, 401k match, professional development, commuter benefits and more.
