The Role

Superbet Group spends a multi-million Euro marketing budget in several European markets – Romania, Poland, Belgium & Serbia - while actively seeking opportunities to expand into more countries. Measuring the success of marketing is a challenge. Increasingly difficult as data & gambling regulations change at pace, and especially difficult in our industry where the sports calendar and customer value are extremely varied.

The marketing insights team builds the tools and understanding we use to optimize our marketing investment across multiple marketing channels. This role will focus on supporting the marketing team to measure the impact of marketing through data analysis, experimentation and reporting.

We're looking for someone who has experience in the following areas:

  • Track record of driving business impact with data. You’re comfortable taking data work all the way to real world recommendations.
  • Experience in designing and executing an end-to-end data project, from working out what to measure, to building reporting and pipelines, to extracting and sharing insight.
  • Ability to communicate to senior stakeholders and operational teams.
  • Comfortable getting into detail without losing track of the big picture.
  • Functional/Technical skills across the data spectrum:
    • Comfortable in SQL, spreadsheets and slides. 
    • An understanding of how tracking works both for web and apps
    • Experience designing and analysing ad effectiveness studies using causal inference and statistical techniques to understand the impact of marketing strategies across the media mix
    • Experience with dashboard building
    • Experience with building learning agendas, and experiments that drive performance improvements and uncover best practices

Bonus points if you have:

  • Comfortable building and maintaining data pipelines
  • History of working with marketing teams
  • Knowledge of a scripting language (such as Python or R)
  • Familiarity with dbt, dataform or other data modeling tool
  • Knowledge of tracking setup (such as Google Tag Manager)
  • Expertise in Statistics, Machine Learning and/or Econometrics
  • Experience with app marketing and/or tracking for apps
  • Experience in online sports betting or gambling
  • Familiarity with online marketing via Google Ads, Meta, etc..

What you'll be doing?

  • Build and maintain self-service reporting
    • Build and maintain dashboards and reports for use by marketing teams
    • Monitor data pipelines to ensure data is available and accurate
    • Ensure that tracking is set up correctly
  • Analysis and insight
    • Take on deep dive projects to dig into performance issues or opportunities.
    • Run analysis to understand root causes of changes in the data/user trends.
    • Share your findings in engaging ways through data storytelling.
  • Support Experimentation
    • Work with marketing teams to design experiments that will give clear guidance on the right approach. 
    • Interpret experiment results.
  • Forecasting and modeling 
    • Build models to estimate marketing effectiveness
    • Build models to predict likely long term outcomes from current information
    • Segment users to help with targeting of marketing campaigns
